Dire Straits és un banda de música britànica que va començar les seues marxes en 1977 i amb molts integrants, però els més destacats dins del grup han sigut Mark Knopfler (veu principal i guitarra principal), David Knopfler (guitarra rítmica i cors), John Illsley (baix i cors) i Pick Withers (bateria i percussió).
Ha sigut un dels grups més importants i amb més èxit dins de les bandes de rock. De fet, encara que el grup ja no està en actiu des de 1995, la seua música continua sonant i moltíssim.

Money for nothing pertany al cinqué àlbum d’aquesta banda anomenat “Brothers in arms” i va ser composta en col·laboració amb Sting en 1985. Sting és un músic britànic que va ser veu i lider del grup “The Police”. Us deixem ací l’enllaç al seu videoclip. Si podeu veure-ho, us posarà els pèls de punta.
