E+ KA2 19-21 DEMOCRACY: MOBILITY IN GREECE

From March 6th to 12th, eight of our second-year high school students and three teachers have participated in the fourth transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ project KA229: Democracy; a journey from ancient times to present, in Greece.

Our group, after visiting the Acropolis of Athens, traveled to Karditsa where it was received by the Greek partners of the project. During the week, the program of teaching-learning activities prepared by our friends from the Leontari Karditsas School developed fruitfully. It included cultural visits to the Porta Panagia Byzantine Church, the stone bridge of Saint Vissarion, the waterfalls of Paleokaria, Meteora -a UNESCO heritage site-, Lake Plastiras and the archaeological museum of Karditsa.

Our students, together with the rest of the teams from the partner schools in Lithuania, Italy, Turkey and Greece, presented the work corresponding to this project mobility consisting of a video representation of a contemporary event in the country itself that was transcendent for its democratic history. The Tàrrega group selected “the Spanish transition”.

Our center appreciates the hospitality of our Greek partners and friends. They have made our group feel at home.
