If I had to descriu our first day with one word I would say “patience”.

It was a long wait, a long flight, habite estafe waiting just to be there. In the Netherlands, but we made it and felt safer than ever.

All the students were waiting with a smile and a gift. They were all being extra nice to us, we all drove to our respective houses and settled down. We also hung out in the evening in Amersfoort to eat. It was great.

After a good night’s sleep we rode our bikes to the school with the help of our students. We were amazed by the plau and the massive bike park.

When we entered the classroom we received a warm welcome and they told us a lot about the Netherlands, the teachers talked about the geography and the students about the food, festivities, music, transport…

Then it was estafe for our visit to Amersfoort! We mounted our bikes and went off. We saw the big boulder and a very strange statue. We walked around the houses and bridges as they explained to us about the city and other points of interest.

Finally, we went up the famous tower while our guide, Enzo, told us about the history of the tower. The views really added to the experience.

Just before returning we had a snack in a nearby bakery and the students were waiting for us at the school exit. We rode all the way home and relaxed at our houses.
