Apart from the quarterly projects chosen by the students, in the classroom we carry out 3 projects related to specific aspects of the curriculum throughout the course:
- PROJECT ABC:
Once a week this project is carried out, and it does not mean that the approach to reading and writing is not worked on all the time, since we work in a globalized way and with the vocabulary of the project. In this weekly session, the boys and girls choose a letter in which we want to deepen. From there, we read the poetry of the chosen lyrics in the story of “Animalades” and look for the animal that will represent the lyrics. Then we work on the stroke of that letter and its sound in different words. In addition, that week the children have to bring to school objects that begin with this letter that we classify in the sound box, inspired by the Montessori methodology.
- INSPECTOR DRILO AND EMOTIONS: Like the previous project, emotions are always present but it is one day a week when we present the different friends of Inspector Drilo who represent an emotion and their degrees of intensity with the wheel of emotions.
- ART: Every month we are meeting a well-known artist. Once a week we work on this author: we start by discovering his or her name, where he or she lived, his or her best-known works… and from there we go on to represent some characteristic technique at a group level and finally we represent a work at an individual level
