📓 Art – Education Art

20/06/22

After learning the basic characteristics of Stop Motion and Pixel Pixelation techniques, the 5th grade students have made their own creations. The general theme of the task was the cure of nature. From here each one has elaborated their own message, designed the storyboard and looked for the necessary materials. The work has been a team, where each one had a fundamental role in the task. The recordings have been made on the Rambla, a perfect setting. In addition, the videos made with the Stop Motion app have been worked on with a video editor (iMovie app). In this way, the students have added titles, text, music and effects. Here you can see some of his creations.

Once again, CEIP La Rambla participates in a project of the Planea Network and the Consortium of Museums of Valencia. This year 5th grade students will be part of Animaleta, a project that explores the possibilities of using animation as an inclusive learning tool in the classroom. Under the slogan learning by creating, ANIMALETA gives students an active role in their learning, working as a team and applying the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) model.

We already have in the centre the Animaleta box with everything we need to give life to our creations. The ANIMALETA project has been created by the Animation research group of the Universitat Politècnica de València. For more than 12 years, the UPV Animation group has been dedicated to teaching, researching and creating projects that contribute to understanding the multiplicity of formats, contents and techniques that animation allows.
Here you can see an example of what the technique we will work on consists of:

SCHOOL OF THE DOODLE

During the third term of the 2020-21 academic year, 6th grade students will participate in the “Doodle School” project It is a project created by the illustrator Martín López Lam and organised by the Consortium of Museums of the Valencian Community and PlanEA Red Arte. In it, we will work on the basic expression of drawing as a tool to understand the world around us.
This project has an art kit for 25 students provided by the organisation. Thanks to the purchase of materials made by the AMPA of CEIP La Rambla, we can extend the program to the two groups of 6th graders. In the words of Martín López Lam himself, “There is no such thing as a bad drawing and a good drawing, the good or the bad executed. Each sketch that is made constitutes a way of thinking or feeling our environment, conceptualising an idea or a sensation, while positioning ourselves in front of the context. In this sense, drawing helps us to identify ourselves as subjects in relation to others.”

A magnificent opportunity to free the hand and let the identity of each student emerge, unique and unrepeatable.
