Book Day bookmark

I have watched that you are Booktubers! And last Thursday was the Book Day. You are going to make a bookmark for your books.

You just need a piece of paper/cardboard, scissors, maybe glue/pen/pencil, any material to paint (markers, felt tip pens, crayons,…) and a lot of CREATIVITY!

Instructions: Cut a piece of paper/cardboard into a rectangle shape and decorate it as you prefer. You can paint, write, stick papers on it…

6é ORAL ENGLISH COMMUNICATION – From 27th to 30th April

We are going to review the grammatical structures of the English Class Book.

Let’s review the infinitive of purpose, with the following structure and example:

Subject + verb in the past simple + object + TO + verb + object (Page 21 of the Class Book).

I went to the library to find some information.

In the exercises 2 and 4 of the page number 21 there are actions to practise (go online, use a dictionary, text a friend,…). 

 

Then you can RECORD yourself with a mobile phone/tablet or** (in audio or video)

Saying the structure “Subject + verb in the past simple + object + TO + verb + object” with 4 different ACTIONS.

 

You can use the actions of the exercises 2 and 4 of the page number 21, or different ones if you prefer (for instance: You watch the TV to have fun).

Make a book cover

Last Thursday was the Book Day! You are going to make a book cover.

You need a piece of paper/cardboard, a pencil, a ruler and any material to paint (paint, markers, felt tip pens, crayons,…).

Instructions: Draw a BIG book and create the cover as you prefer. Be CREATIVE!

Dragon clothespin craft

Last Thursday was the Book Day and Saint George Day!

Make a dragon clothespin craft. You need: A green clothespin, a piece of paper/cardboard, glue, scissors and any material to paint (markers, felt tip pens, crayons,…).

Instructions: 1. Cut a piece of paper/cardboard as the body, the wings and the tongue of the dragon.

  1. Color the wings and the body with color green, and the tongue with color red.
  2. Stick the body on the clothespin and the wings on the body.
  3. Stick the tongue on the body.
  4. Draw two eyes.

6é A ARTS & CRAFTS – From 21st to 24th April

Name bug craft

This week we are going to work symmetry and reflection.

You just need a piece of paper, a pencil and any material to paint (markers, felt tip pens, crayons,…).

Instructions: 1. Fold a piece of paper in half.

  1. Write your name with a pencil along the crease of the paper. The letters must be LARGE.

  1. Refold the paper.
  2. Write over the folded paper several times so your name can be written on the other half of the paper. You can use a window to do it better.
  3. Open the paper and trace both names one more time.
  4. Paint the inside of the letters, using the same colour on each side of a letter. HAVE FUN!

4t ORAL COMMUNICATION – From 21st to 24th April

We are going to review the grammatical structures of the English Class Book.

Let’s review the structure “Are you at the + a place of the city?

and the answer “Yes, I am” or “No, I don’t” (Page number 4 of the Class Book).

For example: Are you at the hospital? No, I’m not.

In the page number 4 there are 8 places of the city to practise (train station, bank, hotel,…).

Then you have to RECORD yourselves with a mobile phone/tablet (in audio or video)

Saying the structure “Are you at the + a place of the city?” and the answer “Yes, I am” or “No, I don’t”, with 4 different PLACES OF THE CITY.

Potato stamp

You need a potato, children’s scissors, a pencil/pen, paint and a piece of paper.

Instructions: 1. Cut the potato in half with the children’s scissors.

  1. Draw the desired shape on the surface of the potato using a pencil or a pen. Be CREATIVE!
  2. Very CAREFULLY use the children’s scissors to cut the potato around this shape.
  3. Add a little bit of paint to your stamp.
  4. Start stamping the potato stamp on the piece of paper

Make a Spring craft in a piece of paper, cardboard or paperboard using pasta (fusilli, farfalle, noodles, macaroni, spaghetti,…). Be CREATIVE!

4t B ARTS & CRAFTS – From 21st to 24th April

A String Phone

All you need is: 2 yogurts, 2 needles/toothpicks/paper clips and wool/cord/thread.

Instructions: 1. Cut a long piece of wool/cord/thread. 10 or 15 meters is enough.

  1. Poke a small hole in the bottom of each yogurt.
  2. Thread the wool/cord/thread through each yogurt and tie knots at each end of the yogurt with the needles/toothpicks/paper clips.
  3. You can decorate your phone. Be CREATIVE!

Then go to a different room and try to communicate with a member of your family! YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE FUN!!

Make an egg carton or plastic worm craft

You need an egg carton or plastic box, scissors and any material to paint (paint, markers, felt tip pens, crayons,…).

Instructions: 1. Cut the egg carton or plastic box in half lengthwise leaving 3 or 6 egg cups on a row.

  1. Paint the egg cups with the material that you prefer (paint, markers, felt tip pens, crayons,…) of different colors. CREATIVITY!
  2. Draw the eyes and mouth on one end.

*If you have more material, you can make the antennae

6é ORAL ENGLISH COMMUNICATION – From 21st to 24th April

We are going to review the grammatical structures of the English Class Book.

Let’s review the past simple, with the following structures and examples:

-Interrogative  “Did they find + object?”   Did they find one knife? (Page 16 of the Class Book).

-Affirmative  “Subject + verb+ed/irregular verb + object”   The Romans cooked on a fire/ate pizza  (Page 17 of the Class Book).

-Negative  “Subject + didn’t + verb + object“   The Romans didn’t learn Latin (Page 16 of the Class Book).

In the exercises 2 of the pages number 16 and 17 there are vocabulary and verbs to practise (necklace, spoon, learned, drank,…).

Then you can RECORD yourself with a mobile phone/tablet or** (in audio or video)

Saying the structure “Did they find + object?” with 2 different OBJECTS.

Saying the structure “Subject + verb+ed/irregular verb + object” with 1 REGULAR VERB AND 1 IRREGULAR VERB.

Saying the structure “Subject + didn’t + verb + object” with 2 different ACTIONS.

You can use the actions and verbs of the exercises 2 of the pages number 16 and 17, or different ones if you prefer (for instance: Did they find one horse?).
