BUPA: How to make the upskilling process additive with game design concepts

3rd Transnational Project Meeting (25th of May 2023)

On the 25th of May 2023, the 3rd Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) was held in Athens, at Ilioupoli/ Athens hosted by XENIOS POLIS.

The meeting was attended in person by all partners (CODEUP- PT, XENIOS POLIS- GR, CARDET- CY, IES LA SENIA- ES, AEVA-PT, IIS MARCONI MANGANO- IT, FIP-IE), while among the pillar topics, that discussed, were the project results (PRs) progress, the financial management, the dissemination and the evaluation of the project. Especially, concerning the PRs, it was scheduled the timeline for the completion of the curriculum, both the scientific content and the videos, as well as the availability of the material on the digital platform. In the context of the dissemination, the partners discussed the implementation of their multiplier events in December 2023, in their countries, giving the opportunity to the target groups of the project, both the teachers and the secondary students, to cover the benefits of students learning to code in school and receive tools, approaches, methodologies and tips to teachers on teaching coding effectively.

The project includes four (4) project results, 1) the BUPA Curriculum, 2) the BUPA Gamification for Education Framework, 3) the BUPA Resources and 4) the BUPA MOOC.

In the upcoming months, except from their work mainly on the project results’ (PRs) finalisation and the dissemination of the project, the partners will meet each other, in Italy, in the context of the staff training (in November), as well as at the end of January for the final Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) and the Final Conference, in Portugal.

Guide the Guide al museu de les ciències

L’alumnat participant al projecte Guide the Guide preparen les visites al Museu de les ciències

El passat 22 d’abril sota una intensa pluja 16 alumnes de 4t d’ESO acompanyats pels profes Angel Berlanas, Mònica Camiña i Carles Gómez varen fer una segona visita al museu de les Ciències amb l’objectiu de preparar les futures guies tant a altres alumnes del centre com a l’alumnat i professorat europeu. Aquestes guies es duran a terme durant el pròxim curs, sempre que les condicions de la pandema ho facen possible. El grup d’alumnes es va dividir en subgrups per diferent sales (bosc de cromosomes, legat de la ciència, once upon a time, o pèndol de Foucault) a fi de preparar proves tipus gimcana o escape room.

Uns dies abans els coordinadors locals dels centres portugués, italià, croata i romanés amb els del nostre centre van dur a terme una reunió de planificació de pròximes sessions de Zoom amb 100 participants alhora, 20 per país. La primera tindrà lloc el pròxim dissabte 8 de maig.

Endavant amb Guide the Guide

El projecte Guide the Guide continua endavant malgrat la situació actual

Durant els mesos de gener a març  l’alumnat dels subgrups Guia de Paiporta i Museu Pius V amb l´ajut del professorat del centre (Eva Puigcerver, Xelo Garcia, Guada Minguez i Javier Armengot) ha fet una segona visita de camp tant per la localitat com pel Museu de Belles Arts de València amb el clars objectius d’aprofundir en el contingut de la guia i posar-se per primera vegada a explicar davant de companys de grup.

La pròxima vegada ja serà amb altres companys del centre no dins del projecte i finalment, ja en anglés, davant els estudiants europeus provinents dels centres italians, romanesos, croats i portuguesos. A més a més, en breu serà el torn de la visita al museus de les ciències, ajornada ja en 2 ocasions.

Al seu torn els alumnes Dídac Espinosa, Ferran Martínez, Amanda Lance, Alejandro Mora i Amanda Ferrando han estat treballant en la creació de la pàgina web del museu virtual del projecte sota la supervisió dels professors Mónica Camiña i Angel Berlanas.
