TalentTech: Connecting Talent in AI and Big Data

On June 19 will be held the event “TalentTech: Connecting Talent in AI and Big Data“, organized by CIDA in collaboration with the Talent District program.

TalentTech is a unique opportunity to connect companies looking for talent specialized in artificial intelligence and Big Data, with educational centers in the Valencian Community that teach the specialization course in artificial intelligence and Big Data. The event brings together representatives of companies, teachers from centers of the family of computer science and communications, vocational training prospectors of the Valencian Community and CIDA advisors. Together, we will explore the possibilities for collaboration and create synergies to drive development and innovation in the field of AI and Big Data.

The day’s program is designed to provide an enriching experience for all participants.

One of the most exciting parts of TalentTech will be the group dynamics, where participants will have the opportunity to network and actively interact. This activity will foster collaboration between company representatives and school teachers, and pave the way for future strategic alliances.

To culminate this day of knowledge sharing and networking, we have reserved a coffee space where you will be able to network, share experiences and explore possible collaboration opportunities.

March 8: “Additive Manufacturing and Collaborative Robotics for VET: Cases and practical uses in the classroom”.

The conference has been proposed by the General Directorate of VET and organized by CIDA.

The aim is to show cases of use of emerging technologies, such as additive manufacturing and collaborative robotics, to the different Professional Families to promote the exchange of experiences and synergies between the teachers of VET and companies in the technology sector.

From the Center for Advanced Digital Innovation (CIDA) we will coordinate the activities of this conference in order to bring together companies and educational centers and thus give visibility to the enormous potential of the VET to meet the needs of different productive sectors.

  1. Introduce teachers to the latest trends and technologies in additive manufacturing and collaborative robotics with a global vision for its application to all professional families.
  2. To provide a practical understanding of how these technologies can be applied in the classroom.
  3. Show examples of projects and educational activities related to additive manufacturing and collaborative robotics.
  4. Encourage collaboration and exchange of ideas among faculty to improve the teaching of these technologies.
  5. Help faculty develop practical skills in additive manufacturing and collaborative robotics through demonstrations and workshops.
  6. Provide useful resources and tools for teachers to integrate additive manufacturing and collaborative robotics into their classrooms.
  7. Visibilize the role of women in additive manufacturing and collaborative robotics.

The conference is aimed at teachers of Vocational Training of any specialty who are interested in using these technologies in their classroom and want to know practical examples of companies and other centers in the Valencian Community.

THE INNOVATION IN THE TOURISM SECTOR “TAKES OFF” IN THE VALENCIAN COMMUNITY

From CIDA we want to thank Distrito Turismo, as well as the company Lookish, the opportunity given to CIDA and IES Tirant Lo Blanc of Elche to show the Applied Research Project for Vocational Training of the DGFP and ERE (PIAFP), dependent on the Conselleria de Educación within the “Travel Tech Day”; the tourism of the future.

This event was held in Distrito Digital and its objective was to present the trends on technology applied to the tourism sector, to know the challenges and innovative solutions of some companies, to continue facing the digital transformation of the sector, and to achieve a smarter, digital, sustainable and accessible tourism.

Among the participating companies, Barrabés.biz opened the event, as part of the Distrito Turismo team, telling what the initiative promoted by Distrito Digital consisted of. Juan Castro from ADESTIC, Cluster of Innovative Companies for Tourism of the Valencian Community, emphasized the need to attract technological profiles to this sector.

Several companies such as Optimizadata, Eventcase, the Tourist Intelligence Shop, Starstartup, Vanyou, Staxe and Lookish, presented their technological solutions and the latter presented its Lookish Travel Guide VR360 DTI platform. After finishing his presentation, Antonio Simón, Marketing Director, gave the floor to Gloria Ferrandis, teacher of IES Tirant Lo Blanc, Center of Excellence in Tourism of the Valencian Community, with whom she participates in the PIAFP that is being coordinated from this educational center.

The Project “Metadestino CV. Your network of virtual destinations”, which is currently in the development phase, aims to create a network of accessible and sustainable virtual destinations, so that visitors can learn about and experience the attractions of the destinations in question. IES Tirant Lo Blanc coordinates this interesting inter-center project with six vocational schools, located in the three provinces of our Community: CIPFP Mislata, CIPFP Costa Azahar del Grao de Castellón, IES Macià Abela de Crevillente, IES Luis García Berlanga de San Juan de Alicante, IES 8 de marzo and IES José Cavanilles, the latter two located in Alicante. These centers participate with five different Professional Families that complement each other, in addition to Tourism, Physical Activities and Sports, Image and Sound, Computer and Communications, and Electricity and Electronics, which provides a unique experience to students, integrating them into the productive fabric.
This project, like the other 20 PIAFP’s that are being carried out in the Valencian Community, with a wide participation of the 26 professional families, is a very interesting opportunity, not only for the students, but also for the companies and institutions related to the different productive sectors, which will be able to detect the talent that exists in the Professional Training and Vocational Training.

From CIDA, we are supporting the VET institutes contributing to expand the Network of digital centers of the Valencian Community, promoting, disseminating and collaborating with them in innovation and digitization.

VET teachers connected through the IoT

On 11 May, the 1st Conference on the Internet of Things (IoT) for VET teachers took place in Distrito Digital, organised by CIDA.

The main objective of the conference was to promote the exchange of experiences and establish synergies between teachers and companies in the sector.

It was attended by 120 vocational training teachers from 12 professional families, and from more than 30 schools in the three provinces. The aim was to raise awareness of new trends in the Internet of Things (IoT), through the companies, of which a total of 15 participated, and the schools themselves, so that teachers and students can expand their knowledge and digital skills.

There was an adjoining area with stands where 7 educational centres and 6 companies showed the application of IoT technology, through models and various exhibitions. There was also a networking area, where attendees were able to expand information, resolve doubts and create or update contacts.

It was a very rewarding and motivating experience that we hope to repeat in new editions with greater participation, if possible.

COMPANY TALKS:

CASE STUDIES IN CENTRES:

A great job that we are sure to repeat in future editions, increasing the number of participants at both educational and professional level, which demonstrates the enormous talent found in our Vocational Training.

At the end of the event, a satisfaction survey was carried out among the participating teachers with very positive results that encourage us to repeat the experience.
