On 11 May, the 1st Conference on the Internet of Things (IoT) for VET teachers took place in Distrito Digital, organised by CIDA.
The main objective of the conference was to promote the exchange of experiences and establish synergies between teachers and companies in the sector.
It was attended by 120 vocational training teachers from 12 professional families, and from more than 30 schools in the three provinces. The aim was to raise awareness of new trends in the Internet of Things (IoT), through the companies, of which a total of 15 participated, and the schools themselves, so that teachers and students can expand their knowledge and digital skills.
There was an adjoining area with stands where 7 educational centres and 6 companies showed the application of IoT technology, through models and various exhibitions. There was also a networking area, where attendees were able to expand information, resolve doubts and create or update contacts.
It was a very rewarding and motivating experience that we hope to repeat in new editions with greater participation, if possible.
