Last Saturday 24 of February three Finnish students from Järvenpään lukio returned home. They have been living with our three students and their families for two weeks. They took part in the daily life of the school and enjoyed our cultural traditions in Puçol. This mobility, which is part of the Erasmus accreditation, allows the students to acquire most of the competences included in the LOMLOE: enhance competence in cultural awareness and expression, improve oral and written English, meet and immerse themselves in the daily life of a high school which is a model school for the rest of Europe (a new learning environment), develop social and communication skills as part of the Club of European Civic Ambassador Students of IES Puçol. It will be in the month of April when our three students from IES Puçol will travel to Järvenpään to complete this wonderful educational experience. 

El pasado sábado 24 de febrero regresaron a casa las tres estudiantes finlandesas del Järvenpään lukio que durante dos semanas han convivido con nuestros tres estudiantes y sus familias, participando del día a día del centro y disfrutando de nuestras tradiciones en Puçol. Esta movilidad que se enmarca en la acreditación Erasmus permite al alumnado adquirir la mayoría de las competencias recogidas en la LOMLOE:  potenciar la competencia en conciencia y expresión cultural, mejorar la competencia oral y escrita del inglés, conocer y sumergirse en el día a día de un centro referente en Europa (un nuevo entorno de aprendizaje), desarrollar habilidades sociales y de comunicación formando parte del club de alumnado embajador cívico europeo del IES Puçol. Será en el mes de abril cuando nuestro alumnado del ECA students club viajen a Järvenpään para completar esta maravillosa experiencia de formación. 

From 19th to 23rd February, the Dream in Green team composed of 15 students and 2 teachers has carried out the second mobility of the project visiting their colleagues from the Friedich-Lyst Gimnasium school in Asperg (Germany).  

Throughout the week they enjoyed several workshops on climate change, sustainability and had the opportunity to visit the Experimenta Science Centre, the Porsche House, The House of the Forest and the city of Stuttgart. In addition, the Spanish and German students exchanged their proposals on improving sustainability in schools based on the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda. Water treatment plant, Automatic lights system, Automatic containers, Reuse rain water and Vertical garden are the prototypes that our students presented with great success.  

The Dream in Green team had a wonderful experience. Thanks to the school and the German families for their welcome.  

Del 19 al 23 de febrero el equipo Dream in Green compuesto por 15 estudiantes y 2 profesoras ha realizado la segunda movilidad del proyecto visitando a sus compañeros del centro educativo Friedich-Lyst Gimnasium de Asperg (Alemania). 

A lo largo de la semana todos juntos disfrutaron de varios talleres sobre el cambio climático, sostenibilidad y tuvieron la oportunidad de visitar el centro Experimenta de Ciencias, la casa Porsche, The House of the Forest y la ciudad de Stuttgart. Además, el alumnado español y alemán intercambiaron sus propuestas sobre la mejora de la sostenibilidad en los centros educativos basados en los ODS de la Agenda 2030. Water treatment plant, Automatic lights system, Automatic containers, Reuse rain water y Vertical garden son los prototipos que nuestro alumnado presentó con mucho éxito. 

El equipo Dream in Green ha vivido una maravillosa experiencia. Gracias al centro y a las familias alemanas por su acogida. 

The five students of the Erasmus North2South project of IES Puçol with their two teachers have made a group mobility to Kramfors (Sweden) the week from 12 to 16 February. The objective of mobility has been to share learning and exchange experiences in their common project with the school Gudmundraskola of civic engagement with sustainability and inclusion.  A week of immersion in the Swedish education system, attending classes, doing winter sports and group activities, highlighting the peer learning that our students have given to Swedish students, showing and sharing the video games developed on environmental awareness based on the 3Rs and SDG 12 of responsible consumption and guiding the first steps of Swedish students in programming with Scratch. 

Thank you teachers and students of Gudmundraskola for this unique experience! 

Next May will be the visit of the group of Swedish students together with their teachers to carry out the second part of the project and thus complete the eTwinning project of combined group mobility. 

Las cinco alumnas del IES Puçol representantes del proyecto han realizado la semana del 12 al 16 de febrero junto con sus dos profesoras una movilidad en grupo a Kramfors (Suecia) para compartir aprendizajes e intercambiar experiencias en su proyecto común con la escuela Gudmundraskola de compromiso cívico con la sostenibilidad y la inclusión.  Una semana de inmersión en el sistema educativo sueco, asistiendo a clase, practicando deportes de invierno y realizando actividades en grupo, destacando el aprendizaje entre iguales que nuestras alumnas han impartido al alumnado sueco, mostrado y compartiendo los videojuegos elaborados sobre concienciación medioambiental basados en las 3R y el ODS 12 de consumo responsable y guiando los primeros pasos del alumnado sueco en programación con Scratch.

El próximo mes de mayo será la visita del grupo de alumnado sueco junto con sus profesoras para realizar la segunda parte del proyecto y completar así el proyecto eTwinning de movilidad combinada de grupo. 

Las coordinadoras Erasmus+ del IES Puçol participan en la jornada anual de Difusión Erasmus+ 2023 organizada por el Sepie que se ha celebrado hoy en el Teatro Real de Madrid. El equipo Erasmus+ sigue trabajando para ofrecer la posibilidad de enriquecer vidas, abrir mentes con la Acreditación Erasmus+.

The Erasmus+ coordinators from IES Puçol participate in the annual Erasmus+ 2023 Dissemination Day organised by Sepie which was held today at the Teatro Real in Madrid. The Erasmus+ team continues working to offer the possibility of enriching live and opening minds with the Erasmus+ Accreditation.

The students of 2nd year of CSE (Compulsory Secondary Education) who wish to be part of the ECAS Club have participated in the first activity organized to welcome them. They had fun in the greenhouse where they planted radishes in pots that they took home to take care of. They have also drawn their carbon footprint where they have indicated the actions they can take to reduce it. 

As of today, these students are part of the Erasmus family of IES Puçol and with great enthusiasm they will participate in the activities that will be organized within the KA121 project of the 23-24 academic year. 

Bienvenida al ECAS Club 

El alumnado de 2ESO que desea formar parte del ECAS Club ha participado en la primera actividad organizada para darles la bienvenida. Se han divertido en el invernadero donde han plantado rábanos en unas macetas que se han llevado a casa para cuidarlas.  También han dibujado su huella de carbono donde han indicado las acciones que pueden hacer ellos para reducirla. 

A partir de hoy, este alumnado forma parte de la familia Erasmus del IES Puçol y con mucha ilusión participarán en las actividades que se organizarán dentro del proyecto KA121 del curso 23-24. 

Today we have enjoyed the second day of Erasmus days celebrations. Thanks to the ECA (European Civic Ambassador) Students Club for their participation and enthusiasm in the three proposed activities:  

Elderly people in progress. Service-learning activity carried out by our ECA students club from the first year of baccalaureate.  

Sustainability workshops:  

•  Dream in green: Leave no trace. Where the ECA of second and third year have reflected on how to reduce their carbon footprint advised by the students of the interdisciplinary project of sustainability of Erasmus of 4th year.  
•  They went to the vegetable garden where they planted cabbages and lettuce and to the greenhouse where they took a little radish in a pot to encourage the consumption of vegetables.  

 And of course the Ice Breaking dances that we put into practice every time our international Erasmus family visits us and which we love.

• Dream in green: No deixes empremta. On el ECA de segon i tercer han reflexionat en com reduir la seua petjada de carboni assessorats per l’alumnat del projecte interdisciplinari de sostenibilitat d’Erasmus de 4t  
• Han acudit a l’hort on han sembrat cols i encisams i a l’hivernacle on s’han emportat un ravenet en test fomentant així el consum de verdures i hortalisses  

 I com no podia ser d’una altra forma els balls de Ice breaking que posem en pràctica cada vegada que ens visiten la nostra família internacional Erasmus i que ens encanten. 

Last August 2023, three students from IES Puçol participated in a long-term individual mobility (6 weeks) in the Finnish high school Järvenpään lukio. The Erasmus+ Accreditation gave them the opportunity to acquire or improve some of the competences included in the LOMLOE: cultural awareness and expression, oral and written competence in English, as well as to get to know and immerse themselves in the daily life of a reference centre in Europe. 

The students were interested in the innovative methodologies used in the Finnish Education System, for example, each student can organise their own timetable according to the subjects chosen, they have their own laptop, and the duration of each lesson is longer than in the Spanish Education System, allowing them to study each subject in greater depth.  

They were impressed with the school’s facilities, which include large, well-lit corridors, large rooms with sofas for students to relax in, a huge gym with lots of equipment, soundproof music rooms and a sauna for students to use. 

El pasado mes de agosto de 2023, tres estudiantes del IES Puçol participaron en una movilidad individual de larga duración (6 semanas) en el centro educativo de bachiller Järvenpään lukio de Finlandia. La Acreditación Erasmus+ les ha dado la oportunidad de adquirir o mejorar algunas de las competencias recogidas en la LOMLOE: conciencia y expresión cultural, la competencia oral y escrita del inglés, así como, conocer y sumergirse en el día a día de un centro referente en Europa,  

El alumnado se interesó por las metodologías innovadoras que se aplican en el sistema educativo finlandés, por ejemplo, cada estudiante puede organizar su propio horario según las asignaturas elegidas, tiene su ordenador portátil y la duración de cada sesión es mayor que en el sistema educativo español pudiendo profundizar más en cada una de ellas. 

Las instalaciones del instituto les impactaron por sus grandes pasillos iluminados, amplios espacios amueblados con sofás para el alumnado y un gimnasio enorme con mucho material, aulas de música insonorizadas y una sauna a disposición del alumnado. 

Classroom content in the course held (july, city of Helsinki) was analyzed such as:  

• Critical vision of environmental teaching in the classroom 
• Enterprise-green-washing: green-washing of companies  
• Consumer education: fashion industry in figures and images. 
• Interaction of the human species with nature: loss of biodiversity. Causes.  
• Projects to do in classroom: 
  • Sustainable lunch design 
  • Carbon footprint 
  • How climate affects us 
  • Crafts with waste. Circular economy.  

Additionally, Apps such as GooseChase (to gamify classroom) and FutureMe (for student’s internal reflection) have also been used; classroom dynamics such as Phenomenon-based learning, think-pair-share and jigsaw have been part of the methodology.  

It should be noted that in the current academic year , innovated methodologies are being implemented in Etwinning projects, subjects related to sustainability and shared classroom program groups. Example

Curso: El medio ambiente en la educación

En el curso realizado en julio en la ciudad de Helsinki se han analizado contenidos para el aula tales como: 

• Visión crítica de la enseñanza ambiental en el aula 
• Enterprise green-washing: lavado de cara ecologista de empresas 
• Educación al consumidor: la industria de la moda en cifras e imágenes 
• Interacción de la especie humana con la naturaleza: la pérdida de biodiversidad. Causas. 
• Proyectos para realizar en el aula: 
  • Diseño de almuerzos sostenibles 
  • La huella de carbono 
  • Cómo nos afecta el cambio climático 
  • Manualidades con residuos. Economía circular. 

Las Apps GooseChase (para gamificar el aula) y FutureMe (para la reflexión interna del alumnado) han sido empleadas también; dinámicas de aula como el phenomenon-based learning, think-pair-share y jigsaw han formado parte de la metodología de trabajo.  

Destacar que en el curso actual, se están implementando metodologías innovadoras en los proyectos Etwinning, en materias relacionadas con la sostenibilidad y en grupos del Programa de Aula Compartida.  Ejemplo
