OPENING DOORS TO WOMEN ARTISTS.
We are making a project in the school where we want to introduce women artists into our lives, and what better place that one door that is open to everyone.
For this aim the students are working on two painters: Frida Kahlo and Ángela Fernández Harïng.
Frida Kahlo (1907-1954).
Frida Kahlo has poor health in her childhood. She had polio as a child and at 18 suffered a serious bus accident. She subsequently underwent some 35 operations; during her recovery, she taught herself to paint becoming one of Mexico's greatest artists.
Ángela Fernández Harïng.
Self-taught painter and photographer from Madrid. In painting, she has created a character "Matilda", which she represents and interprets in different situations. Her paintings are full of symbolism, colour and joy.
