Durante esta semana tenemos el placer de recibir la primera expedición de maestras y estudiantes tras nuestra visita a su centro en Fot, a las afueras de Budapest en Hungría. Durante esta semana, 4 estudiantes están conviviendo con nuestro alumnado en el comedor escolar, en salidas culturales a Alicante ciudad, actividades deportivas en el Centro Excursionista Eldense y en la playa de El Postiguet, y juegos de convivencia en nuestro patio.

Todo ello conlleva una motivación extra para el uso de inglés para poder comunicarse y animarles a situar en el mapa europeo a un país que resulta desconocido para los nuestros.

Por supuesto, en esta visita tendrán la oportunidad de visitar el museo del calzado de Elda, la Plaza Mayor, Ayuntamiento y las calles más icónicas de nuestra ciudad.

Y esto es la continuación de nuestro proyecto Erasmus «Every Drop Counts» y que esperamos continuar con el apoyo de toda la comunidad educativa.

Gracias a todos y todas por hacerlo posible y esperamos que nuestros amigos húngaros tengan una gran experiencia en España.

ENGLISH VERSION:

This week we have the pleasure of welcoming the first group of teachers and students following our visit to their school in Fot, on the outskirts of Budapest, Hungary. Four students are spending this week with our students in the school cafeteria, on cultural outings to Alicante, participating in sports activities at the Elda Hiking Club and on Postiguet Beach, and playing games in our playground.

All of this provides extra motivation for them to use English to communicate and helps them locate a country that is unfamiliar to them on a European map.

Of course, during this visit they will have the opportunity to visit the Elda Shoe Museum, the Plaza Mayor, the Town Hall, and the most iconic streets of our city. This is a continuation of our Erasmus project, «Every Drop Counts,» which we hope to continue with the support of the entire school community.

Thank you all for making this possible, and we hope our Hungarian friends have a wonderful experience in Spain.

Del 26 al 30 de abril de 2026, nuestros docentes Miriam Lledó y Raúl Gómez participaron en una movilidad Erasmus+ en Croacia, visitando los centros educativos OŠ Sveta Klara (Zagreb) y OŠ Marije Jurić Zagorke (Vrbovec).

Durante la estancia, pudieron conocer de primera mano diferentes metodologías innovadoras relacionadas con la educación STEAM, el uso de herramientas digitales como Scratch, Kahoot y Microbit, así como proyectos de sostenibilidad y aprendizaje cooperativo.

La experiencia permitió compartir prácticas educativas, asistir a clases de Matemáticas e Inglés, visitar espacios como bibliotecas, huertos escolares y aulas TIC, además de intercambiar experiencias con equipos directivos y profesorado de ambos centros.

Asimismo, la movilidad sirvió para fortalecer los lazos entre escuelas europeas y explorar futuras colaboraciones e intercambios de alumnado dentro del programa Erasmus+.

Además de las actividades educativas, el viaje incluyó visitas culturales por Zagreb y encuentros con la comunidad local, enriqueciendo la experiencia tanto a nivel profesional como personal.

Seguimos apostando por la internacionalización, la innovación educativa y el aprendizaje compartido dentro del programa Erasmus+.

Estimadas familias, tras nuestras primeras experiencias Erasmus+ como docentes y tras valorar las posibilidades de nuestro centro, tenemos el placer de comunicar que vamos a ofrecer la posibilidad de ofrecer clases GRATUITAS de español  para las familias extranjeras que así lo deseen, dentro de nuestro programa «Every drop counts» y cofinanciado por Erasmus+.

Estas clases serán para alumnado del CEP Pintor Sorolla que tendrá que venir acompañado/a por un miembro de la familia que también participará en el curso. Las clases serán desarrolladas por una estudiante del grado de educación (Nerea) bajo la coordinación y supervisión de los docentes del cole.

Las clases comenzarán a partir de la semana del 20 de abril (día por determinar) hasta el 29 de junio, en horario de 16h a 17h. Por ello, todas las familias interesadas en esta iniciativa quedan convocadas a una reunión informativa el próximo jueves 16 de abril a las 9h, en la que se determinarán los días y las horas de las clases, así como todos los detalles del proyecto.

Estos dos meses nos valdrán para valorar los resultados y aceptación de las familias y así plantear su continuidad en el siguiente curso 2026-2027.

Si desean comenzar estas clases solo tienen que informarlo a la Dirección del centro a través de un mensaje por WebFamilia o llamando al teléfono del centro 966957455.

Dear families, following our initial Erasmus+ experiences as teachers and after assessing the possibilities offered by our school, we are pleased to announce that we will be offering FREE Spanish classes for international families who wish to participate, within our «Every Drop Counts» program and co-financed by Erasmus+.

These classes will be for students of CEP Pintor Sorolla, who will need to be accompanied by a family member who will also participate in the course. The classes will be taught by an education student (Nerea) under the coordination and supervision of the school’s teachers.

The classes will begin the week of April 20th (date to be determined) and will run until June 29th, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Therefore, all families interested in this initiative are invited to an information meeting next Thursday, April 16th, at 9:00 AM, where the days and times of the classes, as well as all the details of the project, will be confirmed.

These two months will allow us to assess the results and family participation, and thus consider its continuation in the 2026-2027 school year.

If you wish to begin these classes, simply inform the school administration by sending a message through WebFamilia or by calling the school at 966957455.

Este mes de marzo 2026 hemos vuelto a recibir cartas de nuestros amigos y amigas de los colegios Sveta Klara y Juric Zagorke de Zagreb y Vrbovec respectivamente. Nuestros socios croatas han escrito sus cartas sobre las principales atracciones y monumentos que hay alrededor de sus colegios. Es muy gracioso porque también han destacado un buen restaurante kebab que hay cerca de Juric Zagorke y ahora no podemos esperar para ir a visitarlo. Por supuesto hemos aprendido de la torre blanca que hay allí y de los múltiples museos, estadios de fútbol y tantas atracciones culturales que podremos disfrutar en nuestra movilidad de alumnado programada para abril 2027. De momento, dos maestros de nuestro colegio en España irán a visitar estos colegios en Croacia para realizar un «job shadowing» a final de abril 2026 para ir desarrollando nuestro vínculos.

Mientras, nuestro alumnado ha preparado las respuestas hablando de las futuras vacaciones de verano 2026. Estas cartas serán entregadas en mano por nuestros maestros Raúl y Míriam que, como os decíamos, irán allí a finales de abril. Esperamos que os gusten y estamos impacientes para recibir la respuesta de los croatas que será la última programada para el curso 2025-2026, pero esto continua!!!

This March 2026, we received more letters from our friends at Sveta Klara and Juric Zagorke schools in Zagreb and Vrbovec, respectively. Our Croatian partners wrote about the main attractions and monuments around their schools. It’s funny because they also highlighted a great kebab restaurant near Juric Zagorke, and now we can’t wait to visit it. Of course, we learned about the white tower there and the many museums, football stadiums, and cultural attractions that we’ll be able to enjoy during our student exchange program scheduled for April 2027. Two teachers from our school in Spain will be visiting these schools in Croatia at the end of April 2026 to conduct job shadowing and further develop our connections.

Meanwhile, our students have prepared their responses, writing about their upcoming summer vacation in 2026. These letters will be hand-delivered by our teachers Raúl and Míriam, who, as we mentioned, will be traveling there at the end of April. We hope you like them, and we’re eagerly awaiting the response from the Croatian students, which will be the last one scheduled for the 2025-2026 school year. But this is just the beginning!

El pasado 11 de marzo de 2026, tuvimos el placer de poder presentar nuestro proyecto «Every Drop counts» a los estudiantes del grado de Educación de la Universidad de Alicante, así como a un nutrido grupo de profesores, investigadores y especialistas que se congregaron en la Facultad de Educación para el IX Encuentro de Centros Innovadores. En este caso, tuvimos el honor de ser invitados por el prestigioso profesor Pere Marqués y la doctora Asunción Menargues para este evento que consiguió reunir a más de 400 personas entre asistentes presenciales y online.

Desde aquí queremos dar gracias a la organización por esta oportunidad y esperamos poder repetir para contar todos nuestros progresos.

On March 11, 2026, we had the pleasure of presenting our project, «Every Drop Counts,» to Education students at the University of Alicante, as well as to a large group of professors, researchers, and specialists who gathered at the Faculty of Education for the 9th Meeting of Innovative Centres. We were honored to be invited by the esteemed Professor Pere Marqués and Dr. Asunción Menargues to this event, which brought together more than 400 people, both in person and online.

Estamos de felicitaciones por partida doble. Y es que no solo llega la Navidad sino que, además, hemos empezado a recibir las postales navideñas y las hermosas cartas que han escrito los compañeros y compañeras de nuestros socios croatas de los colegios Sveta Klara y Juric Zagorke de Zagreb y Vrbovec. Éstas han sido dirigidas a nuestro alumnado de quinto que son el grupo objetivo para la movilidad de alumnado en abril 2027.

En este tiempo vamos a ir preparando todo adecuadamente, pero además estamos dando la oportunidad de que la familias se conozcan y aprecien ambas culturas e idiomas. De hecho ya hemos aprendido a decir feliz navidad en croata: Sretan Božić (pensábamos que era el nombre algún jugador croata, pero no, es Feliz Navidad…es un chiste, que nadie se ofenda!!).

La cuestión es que esto nos motiva muchísimo a escribir en inglés, a mejorar la redacción y aumentar nuestras ganas e ilusión por conocer un país tan apasionante como Croacia.

El siguiente envío de cartas versará sobre nuestra ciudad de Elda y la región de Alicante. Lo dicho: felices fiestas a todos y todas y cuidado con los dulces que luego el gimnasio cuesta mucho dinero y esfuerzo.

ENGLISH VERSION:

We have double the reason to celebrate! Not only is Christmas here, but we’ve also started receiving Christmas cards and beautiful letters written by the students of our Croatian partners at the Sveta Klara and Juric Zagorke schools in Zagreb and Vrbovec. These were addressed to our Y5 students, who are the target group for the student exchange program in April 2027.

We’ll be preparing everything properly during this time, and we’re also giving families the opportunity to get to know each other and appreciate both cultures and languages. In fact, we’ve already learned to say «Merry Christmas» in Croatian: Sretan Božić (we thought it was the name of a Croatian player, but no, it’s Merry Christmas…just kidding, no offense intended!).

The point is, this motivates us a lot to write in English, improve our writing skills, and increase our enthusiasm and excitement to visit such a fascinating country as Croatia.

The next letter will be about our city of Elda and the Alicante region. As I said: happy holidays to everyone, and be careful with the sweets, because the gym costs a lot of money and effort.

En nuestra primera movilidad de profesorado, nuestro director Igor Pinteño y el maestro de inglés y coordinador del proyecto Daniel Martínez, han dado el pistoletazo de salida a las múltiples actividades que acompañan a nuestro proyecto Erasmus+ hasta finales del curso 2026-2027.

 
En este caso, se ha visitado el colegio Nemeth Kalman, en el distrito de Fot de la ciudad de Budapest en Hungría. La experiencia ha permitido reflexionar sobre cómo se hace la acogida de estudiantes extranjeros que desconocen su idioma y se integran en el aula, así como para llegar a acuerdos para recibir estudiantes húngaros antes de finalizar el presente curso. Este último nos hace especial ilusión para poder comenzar a ganar experiencia en la recepción de estudiantes y dar una nueva oportunidad a nuestros estudiantes. Así que permaneced atentos para recibir información al respecto en breve.
 

Estuvimos en varias clases de inglés y música y nos agasajaron a regalos. Gracias a todos y todas.
 
Antes de regresar se hizo una nueva parada en la ciudad de Sopron para visitar el colegio Nagycenk Szachenyi y que nos recibió con la bandera española en su fachada. Este centro quiere comenzar su andadura Erasmus y nos solicitaron nuestra ayuda para animar a su comunidad. Pudimos reunirnos con su alcalde y estuvimos en varias de sus aulas, así como alguna visita cultural al entorno para tenerlo como potencial destino de nuestro alumnado en un futuro próximo.

 
Hay que decir que su ubicación cerca de la frontera austriaca y su enorme entorno histórico resulta muy interesante, además de la inmensa cordialidad de todo el profesorado.
 

Sin duda, una nueva experiencia que marca una línea de trabajo de la que os iremos informando.

In our first teachers’ mobility, our headteacher Igor Pinteño and the English teacher and coordinator of the project Daniel Martínez, have given the starting signal to the multiple activities that accompany our Erasmus+ project until the end of the 2026-2027 course.

In this case, a visit to Nemeth Kalman Primary school, in the Fot district of the city of Budapest in Hungary. The experience has allowed us to reflect on how to welcome foreign students who do not know their language and integrate into the classroom, as well as to reach agreements to receive Hungarian students before the end of the present school year. This last one makes us especially excited to be able to start gaining experience in the reception of students and give a new opportunity to our students. So, stay tuned to receive information about it shortly.

We were in various classes of English and music and we were treated as Hollywood stars. Thank you to all.

Before returning, a new stop was made in the city of Sopron to visit Nagycenk Szachenyi from the school and he welcomed us with the Spanish flag on his facade. This center wants to start its Erasmus journey and we were requested our help to animate its community. We were able to meet with his mayor and we were in several of his classrooms, as well as a cultural visit to the environment to consider it as a potential destination for our students in the near future.

It has to be said that its location close to the Austrian border and its enormous historical environment are very interesting, as well as the immense cordiality of all the teachers.Without a doubt, a new experience that marks a line of work from which we will inform you.
