Thursday was a day of work in the ICT classrooms to give shape to their ideas, show their concerns and generate solutions. But not everything was academic training activities, that same day we enjoyed a Bongos workshop and a party in the garden where we planted different crops to promote their consumption with recipes and tips that were accessed with generated QR codes, we completed nutritional pyramids, we learned about climate diet and enjoyed fruit smoothies.  And the final touch, as is traditional in Valencia, was the tasting of paella. 

El Jueves, día de trabajo en las aulas TIC para dar forma a sus ideas, mostrar sus preocupaciones y generar soluciones. Pero no todo han sido actividades de formación académica, ese mismo día disfrutamos de un taller de Bongos y una fiesta en el Huerto donde plantamos distintos cultivos para fomentar su consumo con recetas y consejos a los que se accedía con códigos QR generados, completamos pirámides nutricionales, aprendimos sobre dieta climatariana y disfrutamos de batidos de frutas.  Y el broche final y como en Valencia es tradición, la degustación de una paella. 

On Wednesday, we visited Valencia (chosen as European Green Capital 2024) and we saw by photographic record the reasons for its choice: green spaces, freeing the centre from traffic, sustainable mobility (bicycles, electric cars), etc. We also visited emblematic places such as Estación del Norte, Plaza Ayuntamiento, Mercado Central, Torres de Serranos, la Lonja, the Cathedral, etc. 

El Miércoles visita a Valencia (elegida capital verde europea 2024) y constatamos mediante registro fotográfico las razones de su elección: zonas verdes,  liberando el  centro al tráfico, movilidad sostenible (bicicletas, coches eléctricos) etc. También recorrimos lugares emblemáticos como Estación del Norte, plaza Ayuntamiento, Mercado Central, Torres de Serranos, la Lonja, la catedral etc. 

On Tuesday we went to the Marjal del Moros to see the measures taken to protect this ecosystem (SDG 15). In the afternoon we were introduced to the Life project of RenaturWat (Wastewater Treatment Plant of the Urbanization Los Monasterios de Puçol), an example of circular economy that generates resources from waste (SDG6, SDG 12). 

El Martes nos acercamos a la Marjal del Moros para comprobar las medidas adoptadas para proteger este ecosistema (ODS 15). Por la tarde nos presentaron el proyecto Life de RenaturWat (Depuradora de la Urbanización Los Monasterios de Puçol) un ejemplo de economía circular, generando recursos a partir de residuos (ODS6, ODS 12). 

On the first day of the mobility we had a welcome performance by our wonderful string quartet, we showed them around the centre and we participated in dances and games to get to know each other better prepared by the Physical Education students. In the afternoon, we visited the City of Arts and Sciences (SDG 7, 11 and 12) and watched the film BIG DREAM which motivated them to empathise with the needs and problems and look for a solution to improve the environment around us. 

El primer día de la movilidad contamos con un acto de bienvenida a cargo del nuestro maravilloso cuarteto de cuerda, les mostramos el centro y participamos en bailes y juegos para conocerse mejor preparado por el alumnado de Educación Física. Por la tarde, visita a la Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (ODS 7, 11 y 12) y visionado de la película BIG DREAM que les motivó a empatizar con las necesidades y problemas y buscar una solución para mejorar el entorno que nos rodea.  

During the week of 22nd to 25th May, we received the visit of students from the Friedrich-List-Gymnasium in Asperg, Germany, partners of our project: Dream in Green: Smart solutions for our school. This mobility is part of the Erasmus Accreditation of IES Puçol (2022-2027). Our school has been distinguished in 2022 with the European Quality Label for eTwinning Projects. Dream in Green is one of these projects that has been developed in the current school year in the compulsory subject Interdisciplinary Project in the third year of CSE. The subject Interdisciplinary projects with a European dimension is a proposal of the school that allows students to acquire most of the competences included in the LOMLOE as well as to develop social and communication skills by being part of the European Student Ambassador Club of IES Puçol. Next school year our students will complete this wonderful educational experience by visiting the Asperg Institute. 

This first mobility in our school has been dedicated to environmental awareness and the Sustainable Development Goals 6, 7, 11, 12, 14 and 15 of the 2030 Agenda with inspiring visits to carry out the final task consisting of proposals to improve the sustainability of the school, by international groups of students, encouraging their creativity, promoting their ideas, being dreamers in action. 

La semana del 22 al 25 de mayo recibimos la visita del alumnado del centro Friedrich-List-Gymnasium de Asperg, Alemania, compañeros de nuestro proyecto: Dream in Green: Smart solutions for our school. Esta movilidad se enmarca en la Acreditación Erasmus del IES Puçol (2022-2027). Nuestro centro ha sido distinguido en 2022 con el Sello Europeo de Calidad de Proyectos eTwinning. Dream in Green es uno de estos proyectos que se ha desarrollado en el presente curso escolar en la materia de oferta obligatoria Proyecto Interdisciplinar en tercer curso de la ESO. La materia proyectos interdisciplinares con dimensión europea es una propuesta del centro que permite al alumnado adquirir la mayoría de las competencias recogidas en la LOMLOE como desarrollar habilidades sociales y de comunicación formando parte del Club de Alumnado Embajador Europeo del IES Puçol. El próximo curso escolar nuestro alumnado completará esta maravillosa experiencia formativa visitando el instituto de Asperg. 

Esta primera movilidad en nuestro centro se ha dedicado a la concienciación medioambiental y a los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible 6, 7, 11, 12, 14 y 15 de la Agenda 2030 con visitas inspiradoras para la realización de la tarea final que consiste en propuestas para la mejora de la sostenibilidad del centro, por grupos internacionales de alumnado, fomentando su creatividad, impulsando sus ideas, siendo soñadores en acción. 

Everything is almost ready for the visit of the students of the project Dream in Green. Smart solutions for our school from the Friedrich-List-Gymnasium in Asperg, Germany from May 22nd to 25th. A week of environmental awareness with work activities on SDG 6, 7, 11, 12 and 15 with visits to Valencia (elected European Green Capital 2024), the City of Arts and Sciences, the Marjal Dels Moros and a wastewater treatment plant in urb. Monasterios. They will strengthen friendships and share unforgettable experiences.

Ya está casi todo listo para la  visita del alumnado del proyecto Dream in Green. Smart solutions for our school del centro Friedrich-List-Gymnasium de Asperg, Alemania del 22 al 25 de Mayo. Una semana  de concienciación medioambiental con actividades de trabajo sobre los ODS 6, 7, 11, 12 y 15 con visitas a Valencia (elegida capital verde europea 2024),  la ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias,  la Marjal Dels Moros y una planta de tratamiento de aguas residuales en urb. Monasterios. Se estrecharán lazos de amistad y compartirán experiencias inolvidables.

Last Sunday  three Finnish students from Järvenpään lukio returned home. They have been living with our three students and their families for three weeks. They took part in the daily life of the school and enjoyed our cultural tradition: the Fallas. Next Sunday three students from IES Puçol will travel to Järvenpään to complete this wonderful educational experience. This mobility, which is part of the Erasmus accreditation, allows the students to acquire most of the competences included in the LOMLOE: enhance competence in cultural awareness and expression, improve oral and written English, meet and immerse themselves in the daily life of a high school which is a model school for the rest of Europe (a new learning environment), develop social and communication skills as part of the Club of European Civic Ambassador Students of IES Puçol. 

Este Domingo regresaron a casa las tres estudiantes finlandesas del instituto Järvenpään lukio que durante tres semanas han convivido con nuestras tres estudiantes y sus familias, participando del día a día del centro y disfrutado de nuestra tradición cultural: las Fallas. Y el próximo Domingo nuestras tres alumnas viajarán a Järvenpään  para completar esta maravillosa experiencia de formación. Esta movilidad que se enmarca en la acreditación Erasmus permite al alumnado adquirir la mayoría de las competencias recogidas en la LOMLOE:  potenciar la competencia en conciencia y expresión cultural, mejorar la competencia oral y escrita del inglés, conocer y sumergirse en el día a día de un centro referente en Europa (un nuevo entorno de aprendizaje), desarrollar habilidades sociales y de comunicación formando parte del club de alumnado embajador cívico europeo del IES Puçol. 

The Fairy Tales Night has been celebrated during the last day of the mobility. The event started with a concert offered by a choir formed by students of the Asperg schools and the orchestra of the Friedrich-Lyst-Gymnasium. The students of the project had the opportunity to exhibit their creations on fairy tales In the same hall: kamishibai, pop-up books, theatre of shadows, lapbooks and digital narrative. The students of the IES Puçol have come up on the stage to present their digital narrative videos in which they have animated some adaptations of traditional stories using the creative programming tool Scratch.

Durante el último día de la movilidad se ha celebrado la Noche de los Cuentos de Hadas. El evento ha empezado con un concierto ofrecido por un coro formado por alumnado de los colegios de Asperg y la orquesta del instituto Friedrich-Lyst-Gymnasium. En la misma sala el alumnado del proyecto ha tenido la oportunidad de exhibir sus creaciones sobre los cuentos de hadas: kamishibai, libros pop-up, teatro de sombras, lapbooks y narrativa digital. Las alumnas del IES Puçol han subido al escenario para presentar sus vídeos de narrativa digital en los que habían animado unas adaptaciones de los cuentos tradicionales utilizando la herramienta de programación creativa Scratch.

Students and teachers of the Erasmus group have travelled to Strasbourg, where they have enjoyed a guided visit to the European Parliament and have watched some videos of a MEP from Asperg and another one from Lugo explaining its functions and the meaning of European citizenship. Afterwards, they got to know the city of Strasbourg by strolling and participating in a ginkana. 

Alumnado y profesorado del grupo Erasmus ha viajado a Estrasburgo, donde han disfrutado de una visita guiada por el Parlamento Europeo y han visualizado unos vídeos de un eurodiputado de Asperg y otro de Lugo explicando sus funciones y el significado de la ciudadanía europea. A continuación, han conocido la ciudad de Estrasburgo dando un paseo y participando en una ginkana.

From 26th to 31st March, five students from the second year of  ESO belonging to the European Civic Ambassador Student Club, have travelled to the Friedrich-Lyst-Gymnasium in Asperg (Germany) representing IES Puçol in the European project «Fairy Tales and Legends as a Cultural Heritage» along with two teachers of Computer Science, Elena Campaña Marqués and Inmaculada Ros Cardells. After a long journey, full of anecdotes to tell, their project partners from Germany, Portugal, France and Spain have welcomed them and have begun the beautiful experience of living together. 

In terms of activities, they have participated in different workshops on fairy tales that the teachers have prepared using different methodologies. In the afternoon they visited the «Fairy Tales garden» in Ludwingburg, where they saw recreations of the most famous traditional fairy tales.

Del 26 al 31 de marzo, cinco alumnas de 2º ESO del Club de Alumnado Embajador Cívico Europeo, han viajado al instituto Friedrich-Lyst-Gymnasium en Asperg (Alemania) representando al IES Puçol en el proyecto europeo “Fairy Tales and Legends as a Cultural Heritage” junto a dos profesoras de Informática, Elena Campaña Marqués e Inmaculada Ros Cardells. Después de un largo viaje, no exento de anécdotas que contar, sus compañeros de proyecto de Alemania, Portugal, Francia y España les han dado la bienvenida y han empezado la bonita experiencia de convivencia. 

A nivel de actividades han participado en los diferentes talleres sobre cuentos de hadas que ha preparado el profesorado aplicando diferentes metodologías. Por la tarde han visitado el jardín “Fairy Tales garden” en Ludwingburg, donde han visto recreaciones de los cuentos tradicionales más conocidos.
