Dire Straits es un banda de música británica que empezó sus andaduras en 1977 y con muchos integrantes, pero los más destacados dentro del grupo han sido Mark Knopfler (voz principal y guitarra principal), David Knopfler (guitarra rítmica y coros), John Illsley (bajo y coros) y Pick Withers (batería y percusión).
Ha sido uno de los grupos más importantes y con más éxito dentro de las bandas de rock. De hecho, aunque el grupo ya no está en activo desde 1995, su música sigue sonando y muchísimo.

Money for nothing pertenece al quinto álbum de esta banda llamado «Brothers in arms» y fue compuesta en colaboración con Sting en 1985. Sting es un músico británico que fue voz y lider del grupo «The Police». Os dejamos aquí el enlace a su videoclip. Si podéis verlo, os pondrá los pelos de punta.
