Project Ethical AI: Educate and Innovate – Shaping the University Future with Responsible Artificial Intelligence (Capacity Building, nº – 101179117)
IES Abastos participates as an associate partner in the Ethical AI project, which aims to establish governance frameworks for Artificial Intelligence in higher education in Costa Rica and Peru. The project integrates the ethical dimension, sustainability, and inclusion in the use of AI, strengthening international academic cooperation and aligning Latin American universities with European regulatory frameworks.
In its role as an associate partner, IES Abastos contributes its expertise in digitalization and the responsible use of AI and Big Data in Vocational Training, supporting teacher training activities and the validation of ethical guidelines and recommendations. This collaboration facilitates the transfer of European best practices in digital ethics, inclusion, and sustainability, extending the project’s reach beyond higher education. Simultaneously, the interaction with Latin American universities has strengthened the center’s international profile, contributing to the development of governance frameworks that directly impact Vocational Training.
