Curs 24-25

Thanks to the Erasmus+ programme, we had the opportunity to take part in a three-week exchange trip to Finland from April 19, 2024, which was a very interesting experience and provided us with invaluable knowledge in different areas.  

Not only did we learn to adapt to an environment so different from what we are used to, as Finland is such a different country from Spain, but we also had the opportunity to discover a very different culture, landscapes and way of life that have broadened our horizons. 

We visited a secondary school called Järvenpään lukio, where we were surprised to see the different educational system, which is much more technological and independent, and we met people not only from Finland, but also from all over the world.  

We had the opportunity to visit the capital, Helsinki, and other surrounding towns, visit lakes and forests, and even experience the famous Finnish saunas. We also tried typical Finnish food, such as salmon soup, reindeer meat and chocolate. 

Finally, this mobility programme has helped us practise our English and improve our pronunciation, make new friends, learn about a new way of life and a different culture, and share our own. 

We are very grateful to have been able to participate in this exchange and hope that other students will be encouraged to try it, as there is no better way to learn about a place than by going there and experiencing it for yourself.  

MOVILIDAD CORTA EN FINLADIA 

Gracias al programa Erasmus+ hemos tenido la oportunidad de experimentar un viaje de intercambio a Finlandia de tres semanas desde el 19 de abril de 2024, lo cual ha sido una experiencia muy interesante y que nos ha aportado unos conocimientos sobre diferentes ámbitos imposibles de borrar. 

No solo hemos aprendido a adaptarnos a un ambiente tan diferente al que estamos habituados, siendo Finlandia un país tan diferente a España, si no que también hemos tenido la oportunidad de conocer una cultura, unos paisajes y una manera de vida muy distintas que han ampliado nuestros horizontes. 

Acudimos a un instituto llamado Järvenpään lukio, allí quedamos sorprendidos al ver el diferente sistema educativo, mucho más tecnológico e independiente, y conocimos a gente no solo finlandesa, sino también de todas partes del mundo. 

Tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar la capital, Helsinki y otros pueblos de los alrededores, visitamos lagos, bosques e incluso pudimos experimentar las famosas saunas finlandesas. También probamos comida típica finlandesa, como la sopa de salmón, la carne de reno y el chocolate. 

Por último, esta movilidad nos ha ayudado a practicar el inglés y mejorar nuestra pronunciación, hecho nuevos amigos, hemos podido conocer una forma de vida nueva y una cultura diferente y nos ha ayudado a compartir la nuestra propia. 

Estamos muy agradecidos de haber podido participar en este intercambio y esperamos que otros alumnos se animen a probarlo, ya que no hay mejor manera de aprender de algún sitio que yendo y experimentándolo personalmente. 

From 11 to 15 August, Professor Eduardo Rodríguez visited Budapest to attend a course on Artificial Intelligence, “Empowering educators: Leveraging AI Services for Enhanced Teaching and Learning” at the Babilon Erasmus Academy. The course provided an excellent opportunity to explore artificial intelligence-based services designed to optimise our work in the classroom. In addition to helping with lesson planning and preparation, it delved into tools designed to improve student support in an effective manner. Harnessing the power of artificial intelligence, applications in the organisation of adaptive learning, differentiation and the development of personalised learning pathways were explored. Adapting these innovative practices to a real-world context will allow us to integrate this practical support into our teaching routine in the Erasmus+ projects developed at IES PUÇOL. 

Del 11 al 15 de agosto el profesor Eduardo Rodríguez ha visitado Budapest para realizar un curso sobre Inteligencia Artificial, “Empowering educators: Leveraging AI Services for Enhanced Teaching and Learning” en el centro Babilon Erasmus Academy. El curso ha supuesto una excelente oportunidad para explorar los servicios basados en la inteligencia artificial diseñados para optimizar nuestro trabajo en el aula. Además de ayudar en la planificación y preparación de las clases, se ha profundizado en herramientas diseñadas para mejorar el apoyo al alumnado de manera eficaz. Aprovechando el poder de la inteligencia artificial se han explorado aplicaciones en la organización del aprendizaje adaptativo, la diferenciación y el desarrollo de itinerarios de aprendizaje personalizados. Adaptar estas prácticas innovadoras a un contexto real nos permitirá integrar este apoyo práctico en nuestra rutina docente en los proyectos Erasmus+ desarrollados en el IES PUÇOL. 

IES Puçol, as an accredited eTwinning school, is participating in the 3rd National Conference of eTwinning Centres, ‘Building Citizenship’, which is being held on 20 and 21 June in Madrid, organised by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. This is a meeting for the exchange of good practices between centres, with inspiring presentations and dynamic, collaborative workshops. 

El IES Puçol como escuela eTwinning acreditada participa en la III Conferencia Nacional Centros eTwinning «Construyendo Ciudadanía» que se celebra el 20 y 21 de junio en Madrid organizada por el Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deportes. Un encuentro de intercambio de buenas prácticas entre centros con ponencias inspiradoras y talleres dinámicos y colaborativos. 

On 11 April 2025, diplomas were awarded to the pupils participating in the eTwinning projects which have been awarded the National Quality Label Erasmus. The eTwinning projects awarded this year are the following: Dream in Green: smart solutions for our schools and North2South: digitalizing for a sustainable and inclusive Europe 5.0 and Respect: a journey in the world of rules.

El 11 de abril de 2025 se hizo entrega de diplomas al alumnado participante en los proyectos eTwinning que han sigo premiados con la National Quality Label Erasmus. Los proyectos eTwinning premiados este año son los siguientes: Dream in Green: smart solutions for our schools, North2South: digitalizing for a sustainable and inclusive Europe 5.0 y Respect: a journey in the world of rules.

From 2 to 4 April, teachers Eduardo Rodríguez and Santi Roca from IES Puçol have developed a Job Shadowing in the framework of the Eramus+ accreditation with the Via dei Papareschi school in Rome. Students from both schools will participate in a project to work mathematics and technology in problem solving, and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (POLYNOMIAL +, PET- AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE).

Polynomials and algebra, as well as the rest of mathematics, together with technological knowledge, innovation and digital competence, are key tools in the fight against today’s serious environmental problem of plastic waste management.

Among the objectives of this training are:

– Raise awareness of the importance of mathematics and technology in solving everyday problems.

– To increase students’ motivation towards STEAM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics).

– Working in collaborative environments and fostering pupils’ creativity and digital competence.

– To create environmental awareness by improving the school’s educational spaces.

– Improve communication skills among peers from different countries.

Our accompanying teacher in Rome, Loredana Catarinozzi, has offered us a warm welcome together with the school principal Mrs Paola Palmegiani.

We hope to implement this project with students from both schools and with the collaboration of the Mathematics and Technology departments during the academic year 2025_2026.

Del 2 al 4 de abril, los profesores Eduardo Rodríguez y Santi Roca del IES Puçol han desarrollando un Job Shadowing en el marco de la acreditación Eramus+ con el colegio Via dei Papareschi de Roma. Alumnado de ambos centros participarán en un proyecto para trabajar las matemáticas y la tecnología en la resolución de problemas, y alcanzar los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible (POLYNOMIAL +, PET- AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE).

Los polinomios y el álgebra, así como el resto de las matemáticas, junto con el conocimiento tecnológico, la innovación y la competencia digital, son herramientas clave en la lucha contra el grave problema medioambiental actual de la gestión de los residuos plásticos.

Entre los objetivos de esta formación se encuentran:

– Sensibilizar sobre la importancia de las matemáticas y la tecnología en la resolución de problemas cotidianos.

– Aumentar la motivación del alumnnado hacia las asignaturas STEAM (Ciencia, Tecnología, Ingeniería, Arte y Matemáticas).

– Trabajar en entornos colaborativos y fomentar la creatividad y competencia digital de los alumnos.

– Crear conciencia medioambiental mejorando los espacios educativos del centro.

– Mejorar las habilidades de comunicación entre compañeros de diferentes países.

Nuestra profesora acompañante en Roma, Loredana Catarinozzi nos ha ofrecido una cálida acogida junto a la directora del centro Mrs Paola Palmegiani.

Esperamos durante el curso 2025_2026 poner en funcionamiento este proyecto junto a alumnado de ambos centros y con la colaboración de los departamentos de Matemáticas y Tecnología.

Students from the European Civic Ambassadors Club at IES Puçol participated in the latest edition of the Europass 2024 School Competition, ‘Boost your Employability with the Europass Digital Tools,’ which coincided with the 20th anniversary of the National Europass Portal and aimed to raise awareness of the platform.   

Participation consisted of editing a video explaining the digital tools of the Europass portal and the employability options that Europass offers in their future.  

After a long wait, the list of finalist videos was published, and among them was the video by 1st year Baccalaureate students Anyi Belly Hurtado and Candela Alejos.

Alumnado del Club de Embajadores Cívicos Europeos del IES Puçol participó en la última edición del Concurso Escolar Europass 2024 “Impulsa tu Empleabilidad con las Herramientas Digitales de Europass” / “Boost your Employability with the Europass Digital Tools”, que coincidió con el 20º aniversario del Portal Nacional Europass y cuyo objetivo era dar mayor difusión a la plataforma.  

La participación consistía en la edición de un vídeo en el que explicaran las herramientas digitales del portal Europass y las opciones de empleabilidad que ofrece Europass en su futuro cercano. 

Tras una larga espera, se publicó la lista de los vídeos finalistas y entre ellos se encontraba el vídeo de las alumnas de 1º Bachillerato, Anyi Belly Hurtado y Candela Alejos. ¡ENHORABUENA POR VUESTRO GRAN TRABAJO!  👏 

During this academic year, 15 students from IES Puçol travelled to Yläston Koulu secondary school in the city of Vantaa (Finland) to launch the Finnish and Spanish Sustainable Cities international project. As part of this exchange, we welcomed 17 Finnish students to our school, who shared an enriching academic and cultural experience with us.  

In addition to working on the aforementioned project, the visiting students had the opportunity to visit the facilities at IES Puçol and participate in different classes, discovering new ways of teaching and learning. The stay also included various social activities, including ice-breaking exercises, a meal featuring typical Spanish products prepared by the families, and several excursions to discover the cultural richness of our surroundings.  

Our guests were able to tour the historic centre of Valencia, visit the City of Arts and Sciences, and enjoy a day of paddle surfing, a unique and fun sporting experience that allowed them to connect even more with our Mediterranean environment.  

 This exchange has been a valuable learning and international cooperation experience, allowing both our students and their Finnish counterparts to grow personally and academically, strengthen ties and reinforce their commitment to a more sustainable future.  

Visita del alumnado finlandés al IES Puçol dentro del proyecto Finnish and Spanish Sustainable Cities 

Durante este curso, 15 alumnos y alumnas del IES Puçol viajaron al instituto Yläston Koulu, en la ciudad de Vantaa (Finlandia), para dar comienzo al proyecto internacional Finnish and Spanish Sustainable Cities. Como parte de este intercambio, recibimos en nuestro centro a 17 estudiantes finlandeses, que compartieron con nosotros una enriquecedora experiencia académica y cultural. 

Además de trabajar en el citado proyecto, el alumnado visitante tuvo la oportunidad de conocer las instalaciones del IES Puçol y participar en diferentes clases, descubriendo así nuevas formas de enseñanza y aprendizaje. La estancia incluyó también diversas actividades de convivencia, entre las que destacaron las dinámicas de presentación ice-breaking, una comida con productos típicos españoles elaborados por las familias y varias excursiones para descubrir la riqueza cultural de nuestro entorno. 

Nuestros invitados pudieron recorrer el centro histórico de Valencia, visitar la Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias y disfrutar de una jornada de pádel surf, una experiencia deportiva diferente y muy divertida que les permitió conectar aún más con nuestro entorno mediterráneo. 

Este intercambio ha supuesto una valiosa experiencia de aprendizaje y cooperación internacional, que ha permitido tanto a nuestro alumnado como al finlandés crecer personal y académicamente, estrechar lazos y reforzar el compromiso con un futuro más sostenible. 

IES Puçol participated in the eTwinning Conference: Strengthening citizenship education in eTwinning schools, held in Nice, France, on 16 and 17 May. This was an international event aimed at integrating civic and democratic education into the classroom through eTwinning-Erasmus projects. 

 We continue to gain European experience! 

El IES Puçol ha participado en la Conferencia eTwinning: Stregthening citizenship education in eTwinning schools, celebrada en Niza, Francia, los días 16 y 17 de mayo.. Un evento internacional para integrar la educación cívica y democrática en el aula a través de los proyectos eTwinning –Erasmus.

A new project has been launched at IES Puçol with the Friedrich-List-Gymnasium school in Asperg, Germany: LIFE, FEEL, DISCOVER. During the week of May 7-14, fifteen students and their teachers visited us with the aim of promoting cultural and educational exchange between students from both countries.  

Through collaborative activities, they explored our culture, the relationship between sport and art, and discovered the beauty of natural spaces.  

• Visit to the Albufera Natural Park  

• Visit to the Faller Museum  

• Tour of Valencia: historic center and modern part of the city, City of Arts and Sciences, while celebrating Europe Day.  

• Workshops at the school:  

• Presentations on the culture of Puçol and Valencia  

• Digital magazine with everything that was done during the week 

Un nuevo proyecto se ha iniciado en IES Puçol con el centro Friedich-List-Gymnasium de Asperg, Alemania: LIFE, FEEL, DISCOVER. Durante la a semana del 7 al 14 de mayo nos visitaron 15 estudiantes con sus profesoras con el objetivo fomentar el intercambio cultural y educativo entre el alumando de ambos países. 

A través de actividades colaborativas exploraron nuestra cultura, la relación del deporte y el arte y descubrieron la belleza de los espacios naturales. 

• Visita al parque natural de la Albufera 

• Visita al Museu Faller 

• Tour en Valencia: centro histórico y la parte moderna, Ciudad de las Ciencias y las Artes, mientras celebraban el día de Europa. 

• Talleres en el instituto:

• Revista digital con todo lo realizado durante la semana 

• The coordinators attended at the First Meeting for Educational Internationalisation, organised by the European Use, Promotion and Programmes Service of the Regional Ministry of Education, Culture, Universities and Employment of the Valencian Regional Government, and our director received the certificate accrediting us as an eTwinning School for another two years.  

•  And with our colleagues from the Friedrich List Gymnasium in Asperg (Germany) from the Erasmus project: Life, Feel and Discover on the second day of group mobility visiting the historic centre of Valencia.

• Las coordinadoras asistieron al I Encuentro para la Internacionalización Educativa, organizado por el Servicio de Uso, Promoción y Programas Europeos de la Conselleria de Educación, Cultura, Universidades y Empleo de la Generalitat Valenciana y nuestro director recogió la certificación que nos acredita dos años más como Escuela eTwinning.
