Two teachers from IES Puçol visited Järvenpään Lukio —a leading Finnish upper
secondary school— from 22 to 24 April 2026 with two main objectives. On the one
hand, they aimed to learn about the functioning and distinctive features of the Finnish
education system, and on the other, to establish initial contact with two teachers from
the Finnish school in order to lay the foundations for an eTwinning project, which will
be carried out next school year with students from both institutions.
During the three days of job shadowing, the teachers attended classes as observers in
various subjects, such as English and Spanish, across the different levels offered by the
school. This allowed them to gain first-hand insight into the dynamics of the lessons,
the materials used, the methodologies applied, and the learning spaces that
Järvenpään Lukio provides for its students in language competence development.
They also had the opportunity to exchange experiences and clarify doubts with the
Finnish teaching staff.
In addition, the teachers’ visit coincided with the final days of a short-term Erasmus+
mobility involving three students from IES Puçol. The students were completing three
weeks of exchange with three Finnish students. Undoubtedly, a highly enriching
experience on a personal, cultural, and academic level that they will never forget.
Dos profesoras del IES Puçol visitaron el centro Järvenpään Lukio —un instituto
finlandés de referencia en bachillerato— del 22 al 24 de abril de 2026 con dos
objetivos. Por un lado, conocer el funcionamiento y la idiosincrasia del sistema
educativo de Finlandia y, por otro, establecer un primer contacto con dos profesoras
del centro finlandés para sentar las bases de un proyecto eTwinning, que se
desarrollará el próximo curso con alumnado de ambos centros.
A lo largo de los tres días de job shadowing, las profesoras asistieron, como
observadoras, a clases de diversas materias, como Inglés y Español, en los distintos
niveles que ofrece el centro. De este modo, pudieron conocer de primera mano la
dinámica de las sesiones, los materiales utilizados, las metodologías aplicadas y los
espacios que el Järvenpään Lukio pone a disposición de su alumnado para el
aprendizaje competencial de las lenguas. También tuvieron la oportunidad de
intercambiar experiencias y resolver dudas con el profesorado finlandés.
Además, la visita de las profesoras coincidió con los últimos días de la movilidad
Erasmus+ de corta duración de tres alumnas del IES Puçol. Las alumnas de nuestro
centro finalizaban así tres semanas de intercambio con tres estudiantes finlandeses.
Sin duda, una experiencia enriquecedora a nivel personal, cultural y académico que
nunca olvidarán
