Today has been an unforgettable day within our Erasmus+ project “WATER.” We started the day with our Dutch host families, sharing breakfast and getting ready for a new day full of activities. At the school, a bus picked us up together with our Dutch partners and took us to Amsterdam.

The city impressed us from the very beginning: its canals, bicycles, and the way traffic is organized show how the Netherlands has learned to live sustainably with water. We could see how urban design makes the most of space to prevent flooding while creating a lively and welcoming environment.

After a short walk and some free time to explore the streets and shops, we visited the Anne Frank House — a very moving experience that made us reflect on history and the importance of empathy and peace, values that are also essential for building a sustainable future.

At lunchtime, we tried some typical Dutch food and later visited the Van Gogh Museum, where we learned how art and creativity can connect people from all over the world.

Finally, we took the bus back to our host towns and spent the evening sharing our thoughts with our Dutch families. It was a day full of cultural and environmental learning that helped us better understand how the Netherlands manages water and takes care of its natural surroundings.
