Our school

The Official School of Languages of Xàtiva is an educational institution that is part of a nationwide network of official language schools that operate under the Spanish government, providing specialized language instruction to adults. Following the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the school offers a variety of language courses at different proficiency levels in English, German, French, Italian and Catalan. It is based in Xàtiva, located inland in the province of Valencia, with two additional branches in the rural towns of Enguera and Ayora.

The school serves a diverse and transgenerational student body, including individuals as young as 16 and adults of all ages, such as university students, working professionals, retirees, migrants, and unemployed people. They seek to improve their language skills for various reasons, including enhancing their employability, professional development, and personal growth.

The Official School of Languages of Xàtiva is recognized for its high-quality, officially certified language education, which is offered free of charge. This makes the school an invaluable resource for those seeking to improve their language skills and enhance their professional and personal opportunities. Beyond language learning, the school encourages social interaction, providing students with opportunities to make friends and engage in a dynamic learning community.

The school’s mission extends beyond teaching languages; it is dedicated to fostering key competences that enhance employability, professional development, civic engagement, and social integration. Its location in a rural setting, combined with its commitment to providing a multilingual learning environment, allows the institution to strengthen community ties while helping students connect with the broader global context.

Additionally, the school participates in international projects, including Erasmus+ initiatives, which focus on promoting digital competence, inclusion, and environmental awareness in education.
