STEAM PROJECT. INNOVATIVE EXPERIENCIE:
This project, based on an application in the form of a video game, has been designed by 5th grade Primary students using the Scratch platform, with the aim of raising awareness and awareness about recycling in our town Ondara (Alicante), taking a trip around everything. the world, giving advice for correct recycling with different containers, and offering information on how to take care of our environment and our planet.
The protagonist of our application is called “Super Eco Girl”, and she encourages us to complete the missions and learn with the 3 Rs, including a video game section in which she informs and helps students complete three missions on a virtual journey through Ondara and around the world. It encourages us to complete these missions about recycling and learn with the 3 Rs: reduce, recycle and reuse. It also includes on the main screen a map of our local containers and information on how to recycle in the different containers correctly.
In the first mission, you take a tour of the most emblematic places in our town, in which you will have to solve some challenges. In the second mission he will help us recycle correctly with the different colored containers. And in the third mission we will travel around the world with "Super Eco Girl", collecting and recycling objects and light waste transported by the wind. We complete the experience with Super Eco Girl's trip around the world, with the programming of the line-following sensors of the mbot robots, on a giant world map made in class.
An innovative, motivating and inclusive experience, with which we have learned and enjoyed a lot, aiming to generate an impact on society, contributing our grain of sand by using technology to solve challenges of the 21st century, thus promoting a fairer society and a better world.

GOALS:
- Learn in a playful way about recycling through an application in the form of a video game, working with students on the 3 R's: recycle, reduce and reuse.
- Raise awareness and sensitize the entire Educational Community and the inhabitants of Ondara about the importance of recycling correctly, and the conservation and care of the environment.
- Learn in a playful way the function of the different containers and their location in the municipality.
- Promote creativity and innovation in students, promoting their ability to solve problems and challenges.
- Develop computational thinking and STEAM skills in students, through the design and creation of educational and didactic video games through block programming in.
- Enhance the digital competence of students through block programming and educational robotics established in the Environmental Knowledge Technology block, according to the LOMLOE.
- Promote project-based learning in which students actively participate in problem solving, enhancing abstract thinking and creativity in real-world situations.
- Apply the basic knowledge of the different areas using the Scratch tool and educational robotics in a competent manner, through the learning situations that interdisciplinary projects provide us with.
- Motivate students in their teaching and learning process by promoting collaborative work and cooperation between students.
- Empower students in the world of technology and STEAM education by promoting STEAM vocations in students (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), especially in girls.
