Primary 4 students have learned about the English custom and tradition of Valentine's Day holiday. We began this project with an explanatory video about the origin of this holiday ( https://youtu.be/JdKZepHMFWE). Next, we worked with the textbook material and learned relevant Valentine’s Day vocabulary. In the United Kingdom and the USA, Valentine’s Day is a day to send cards to the people we love: family and friends. Then, we made traditional Valentine cards decorated in floral motifs and hearts and the students wrote English Valentine poems inside.
Finally, the students watched a short film by the makers of Madagascar on this theme (Madly Madagascar)

L’alumnat de quart de Primaria ha treballat les costums i tradicions angleses de Sant Valentí. Vam iniciar este projecte amb un video explicatiu sobre l’orige d’esta tradició (https://youtu.be/JdKZepHMFWE). Després vam treballar la proposta del llibre de text. Al Regne Unit i als Estats Units, Sant Valentí és l’excusa per a enviar targetes a a la gent que estimem: familia i amics. Vam fer targetes amb les costums angleses: han de contindre un poema i s’han de decorar amb motius florals i cors.
Finalment hem vist un curt de Madagascar sobre esta temàtica (Madly Madagascar).
