Como broche de oro a nuestro intercambio docente Erasmus+ “Futuros Guardianes”, disfrutamos de una última jornada inolvidable en la histórica ciudad de Bursa. Comenzamos la mañana con un desayuno típico turco, un verdadero festín de sabores locales que nos permitió vivir de cerca la auténtica hospitalidad de nuestros anfitriones. Posteriormente, nos sumergimos en una visita cultural por la ciudad, recorriendo el Museo de Bursa, el casco antiguo y el vibrante centro histórico. Pasear por sus calles centenarias nos ofreció una visión profunda del patrimonio y la esencia de esta región. Este último viaje ha sido el cierre perfecto para el proyecto, dejándonos vínculos profesionales fortalecidos y un bagaje cultural inmenso para compartir con nuestros alumnos.

To conclude our “Future Guardians” Erasmus+ teaching exchange, we spent an unforgettable final day in the historic city of Bursa. We began the morning by enjoying a traditional Turkish breakfast, a true feast of local flavors that allowed us to experience the authentic hospitality of our hosts. Following this, we immersed ourselves in a comprehensive cultural tour of the city, visiting the Bursa City Museum and exploring the charming old town and the vibrant city center. Walking through its historic streets provided us with a deeper understanding of the region’s heritage and soul. This final journey has been the perfect closing chapter, leaving us with strengthened professional ties and a wealth of cultural knowledge to share with our students back home.

El quinto día de nuestro intercambio Erasmus+ en Turquía se centró en la colaboración internacional y el descubrimiento cultural, comenzando con una videollamada conjunta en la que alumnos de Turquía, Rumanía, Croacia y España presentaron las reservas naturales de sus respectivos países. Durante la sesión, describieron la biodiversidad local, la fauna característica y los esfuerzos de conservación en cada biosfera, permitiendo al alumnado interactuar y resolver dudas. Posteriormente, celebramos el acto de clausura con la entrega de certificados de participación en el proyecto “Futuros Guardianes”. Para finalizar la jornada, visitamos la histórica ciudad de Iznik, donde exploramos su famosa mezquita, su impresionante lago y los alrededores, uniendo la educación ambiental con la riqueza del patrimonio cultural de la región.

The fifth day of our Erasmus+ exchange in Turkey focused on international collaboration and cultural discovery, starting with a joint video call where students from Turkey, Romania, Croatia, and Spain presented the natural reserves of their respective countries. During the session, they described the local biodiversity, unique wildlife, and the conservation efforts implemented in each biosphere, followed by an interactive Q&A session. This was followed by the official closing ceremony, where certificates were awarded to all participants for their involvement in the “Future Guardians” project. To celebrate the conclusion of the program, we visited the historic city of Iznik, where we explored its famous mosque, the stunning lake, and the surrounding ancient monuments, blending environmental education with the rich cultural heritage of the region.

Nuestro cuarto día de movilidad docente Erasmus+ en Turquía fue una productiva combinación de relaciones institucionales y educación ambiental, comenzando con una reunión oficial con el Alcalde para presentar nuestro proyecto “Futuros Guardianes”. Visitamos la Biblioteca Pública para ver a los niños realizar manualidades con materiales reciclados y exploramos el Museo de İnegöl, seguido de un recorrido industrial por una fábrica de producción de poliéster y las instalaciones de Erka Group. Erka Group, empresa fundada en 1997 en İnegöl, es líder en gestión integral de residuos y consultoría ambiental, especializada en transformar desechos domésticos e industriales en recursos útiles mediante técnicas modernas de reciclaje y programas de sensibilización comunitaria. Concluimos esta enriquecedora jornada analizando el sistema educativo del instituto de acogida y compartiendo una comida tradicional para conocer la gastronomía local.

Our fourth day of the Erasmus+ teaching mobility in Turkey was a productive blend of institutional relations and environmental education, starting with an official meeting with the Mayor to present our “Future Guardians” project. We visited the Public Library to see children creating crafts from recycled materials and explored the İnegöl Museum, followed by an industrial tour of a polyester production factory and the Erka Group facilities. Erka Group, founded in 1997 in İnegöl, is a leader in integrated waste management and environmental consultancy that specializes in transforming domestic and industrial waste into resources through modern recycling techniques and community awareness programs. We concluded this enriching day by analyzing the local high school’s educational system and sharing a traditional meal to experience the authentic Turkish gastronomy.

Hoy hemos vivido una jornada inolvidable de inmersión cultural en Estambul, donde nuestro equipo internacional de España, Croacia, Turquía y Rumanía ha explorado la majestuosidad del Palacio de Topkapi y la Mezquita Azul, culminando la experiencia con una deliciosa degustación de la gastronomía local. Esta tarde ponemos rumbo a Bursa, ciudad donde se encuentra el colegio anfitrión, para prepararnos para la jornada de mañana, en la que visitaremos el centro educativo y realizaremos una puesta en común de prácticas educativas innovadoras sobre el reciclaje.

Today has been an unforgettable day of cultural immersion in Istanbul, where our international team from Spain, Croatia, Turkey, and Romania explored the majesty of the Topkapi Palace and the Blue Mosque, finishing the experience with a delicious taste of local gastronomy. This afternoon, we are heading to Bursa, the city where the host school is located, to prepare for tomorrow’s session, during which we will visit the educational center and share innovative educational practices regarding recycling.

Tras una calurosa bienvenida por parte del equipo anfitrión de Turquía, hemos dedicado la jornada a conocer la hoja de ruta de la semana y a presentarnos al resto de docentes de Croacia y Rumanía, creando desde el inicio un ambiente de colaboración internacional fantástico. ¡Listos para empezar este intercambio de experiencias y aprendizaje! 🇹🇷🇪🇺
