The Sanchis Guarner Primary School in Ondara held the II Save the Children Solidarity Race "Emergency Ukraine. Kilometers of Solidarity" last Friday, May 13th. This year the NGO's campaign has focused on the conflict in Ukraine with the main goal of helping children who are living or suffering from the consequences of the war.
The solidarity and collaboration of the families of the participating students allowed to raise 2389.5 euros, which will be used entirely in this NGO for children's rights. The race was attended by all the students of the Marjals Infant Building and the Sanchis Guarner Primary School building in Ondara (646 students in total), of all levels (the three kindergartens and the six primary courses) with a total of 9 races. The solidarity race was held on Ronda de la Generalitat, Dénia and Lepanto streets, ending in the school yard.
Previously, students were offered a warm-up session with dancing by Areli Montiel and, at the end, the AMPA of Sanchis Guarner de Ondara offered fruit to all students as a healthy lunch.
The Sanchis Guarner school is grateful for the collaboration of the Sports and Education Department of Ondara City Council, which provided the goal arc and the necessary logistics, and the collaboration of the Ondara Local Police for the closure of streets.
