ERASMUS EXPERIENCE

Hi, I’m Paula Jiménez and I went to Germany, Bochum, for a month with the ERASMUS program. In this article, I’m going to talk about my experience in a foreign country.

I started my journey on the 14th of April. I arrived in Germany and I found a very welcoming family. The next day was my first day at school. I was impressed by how modern and futuristic it was, and as the days passed I could tell a lot of differences between theGerman school and the Spanish one.

Moving on to the family I stayed with, I can tell I was very lucky, since they were very charming, and we made a lot ofplans together. We went mini golfing, I went to a lot of museums with the girl I was staying with. I went to Kölone,Essen, to a lot of concerts and a lot more. I did a lot of activities and I had a good time.

Bochum, where I stayed, was very big. The streets were charming and the people very friendly. Although the weather was bad, I believe that Bochum is a very good place to live because it has very beautiful places and a very big city center. The school I attended to is called Neues Gymnasium. As I have already said, for me, the school was very futuristic.

Despite having all my subjects in German, I learned a new culture and also a little bit of the language. What’s more, I met a lot of kind people and I can tell that German people are very welcoming and kind.

Summing up, going to Germany for a month was the best experience ever. If they asked me to go again, I wouldn’t think it twice.

To finish this article, I want to thank Erasmus for offering me this magnificent experience, and to all the organizers who have allowed this program to take place.
