La semana del 19 al 23 de octubre de 2023, el docente y secretario de nuestro centro, D. José Manuel Mula ha realizado una movilidad de formación (job shadowing) con nuestro proyecto Erasmus+ de FP con consorcio STEPV. Nuestro compañero ha realizado esta movilidad junto a otros docentes de otros centros de la Comunidad Valenciana también pertenecientes al consorcio con STEPV.
«We have been in two campus of the NWRC, Springtown Campus and Strand Road Campus. Springtown campus offers facilities for engineering, motor vehicle maintenance and repair, plumbing, joinery, brickwork and fabrication & welding. We could see all the different facilities. We visited too Strand Road Campus and we could see the kitchens and restaurant of the hostelry studies. Also, we visited TunedIn Project. This facility supports people with learning disabilities through the digital and creative arts to promote independence, empowerment, self-esteem and confidence. Finally, we took a walk through Derry and learnt a lot about its recent history
with the vision of the two sides involved in the conflicts. A very friendly tour guide explained everything to us very well.
One of the sessions was dedicated to the education system of Northern Ireland, which is important to compare with our system.
All the talks have been in English, which has allowed me to improve my skills in this language. I believe that this visit can be very useful to encourage our students to improve their sense of initiative and professional autonomy, and teamwork. At the same time, we have learned about key competence, group work and civic competence.» Jose Manuel Mula
