The official languages schools in Spain depend on the corresponding departments of education of the autonomous communities (in our case the Department of Education, Culture and Sport of the Generalitat Valenciana) and their syllabus and protocols are regulated by the regulations approved by the Ministry of Education and these departments, following the recommendations of the Council of Europe.

The EOI of Alicante was created in the 1973-1974 academic year and has passed through different locations until, in 1991, it was installed in the current building on Marqués de Molins street.s.
