CRETE NOVEMBER 2022

Our stay in Crete was unforgettable, both from the human and the academic point of view. The arrival at the Heraklion airport was the first contact with the Greek students, families, and teachers.
We dedicated the mornings to work over our projects and student presentations at the school. Our students’ presentations were focused on the arrival of immigrants in Spain, pointing out different migration policies; as well as several important Spanish figures that had to go into exile.
One the highlights of our trip was visiting the magical site of Knossos, cradle of the Greek and western culture, known for its famous minotaur labyrinth ´s myth.
There were also moments for leisure, and even for a day out on a boat to a nearby island. Many myths and legends were told to us on this boat trip, that united both History and mythology, just like in the whole of Crete.
Finally, after many fantastic days in Crete it was time to say goodbye. This was done in a Greek style: dancing a Sirtaki. Just like in all the other Erasmus mobility programmes, our stay was enriching in many levels. For example, by reinforcing the necessary values in this changing world: Europe, ethics, and progress.
