In case you don’t know, the schedule in Britain is a bit different, and they only have three meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). First, breakfast is similar to our Spanish breakfast. It starts at 7:00 and ends at 9:00. Later, they have lunch, it is what we call “la comida” and it is earlier. It starts at 12:00 and ends at 13:30. Finally, dinner is also earlier than in our country. It is
between 18:30 and 20:00. And another important thing. In Britain, tea time is very typical. It is from 17:00 to 18:30.

After knowing about the schedules, let us explain the typical foods. A typical breakfast in Britain consists of a bowl of cereals, a slice of toast, some orange juice and a cup of coffee. Meanwhile lunch is usually packed, therefore it consists of a sandwich, a packet of crisps, a piece of fruit and some drink. Last but not least, dinner consists of meat mixed with brown sauce and two vegetables (there are almost always potatoes). British people also
have a special lunch on Sundays, like “Paella” for us. It is Sunday Roast and consists of roast meat, two different types of vegetables and potatoes with a Yorkshire pudding.

All in all, British food is a bit different different from Spanish food. Both have good and bad points, but the truth is that British gastronomy looks good. And now that you know more about this topic, would you like to have British food?
