Successful first participation of Computer Science in the First Lego League robotics competition. Our Computer Science teachers receive the prize for the best “trainer”.

Last Saturday 11th February the local phase of the world robotics competition First Lego League was held at the University of Alicante. The group of students studying "Programming, computer systems and networks" (Computer Science) in the 1st year of Bachillerato have been preparing for the competition during the classes of this subject. It consisted of several phases: a robotics competition and the implementation of an innovation project. In addition, the way of working and the values of the participants during the process were assessed. The robot met the expectations and the innovation project impressed the jury. Finally, although "Insania martis" (as the group called themselves) did not win the overall prize, they were rewarded for their efforts when Herminia Pastor Pina and Elena Marco Anguiano received the prize for the best "trainer".
