The 5th grade students are participating this year in the European project Springleaf & the Secrets of Spring, within the eTwinning platform.
This is a collaborative learning experience in which we are working with schools from eight countries: Turkey, Macedonia, Italy, Poland, Greece, Spain, Ukraine, and Romania.
Through this project, our students have the opportunity to communicate, create, and learn alongside classmates from different European cultures. The main objectives of the project are:
- To raise awareness about the changing seasons and nature in spring.
- To promote cultural exchange and European citizenship.
- To foster creativity, collaboration, and emotional expression.
And… what are we doing in class?
- During the first few weeks, we have carried out different activities:
- Creation of a personal avatar, which each student has used to introduce themselves to the other participants.
- Design and voting on the official project logo.
Viewing presentations from students in other countries.
Preparing letters to exchange with the various partner schools.
Over the next few months, we will continue participating in the proposed monthly missions and activities, sharing experiences, learning about spring in other countries, and strengthening our European ties.
This project is proving to be a very enriching experience, as it combines language learning, the responsible use of digital tools, and the development of values such as respect, empathy, and cooperation.
