In our current society, the mobility of students, workers and teachers is of paramount importance. By this token, the development of European programs aimed at promoting and encouraging mobility, (and also of projects that would provide us with a variety of brand new experiences linked to the mentioned mobility), should be regarded as an overarching goal.
Enabling cooperation and proximity policies, (in the context of vocational training courses), is seen as priority line of action by our vocational training center. The reasons are described below:
-To begin with, Internationalisation is a powerful tool, that undeniably would help to upgrade the excellence, quality and attractiveness of vocational education courses and training.
- Furthermore, and provided that the labor market is becoming ever more demanding, gaining insight into other realities, and taking part in them for a period of time, will improve the labor market insertion of our students.
- Moreover, closer cooperation between vocational training centers would contribute to the mutual recognition of professional qualifications in all European countries. Undoubtedly, this cooperation will enhance not only the students’ mobility, but also the use of European Community languages. Equally, increasing awareness of the benefits of working together, to promote this cooperation, will be helpful to encourage tolerance and respect for other peoples an cultures, and in the end, to create and reinforce the sense of European citizenship.
For all these reasons, La Costera Vocational Training Center, has been taken part in a variety of European programs, during the last four years. Due to the fact that we carried out a proper management of the mentioned programs, we have been awarded the Erasmus letter from 2014 to 2020. Currently, we are” immersed” in the process of developing a KA1 project (people mobility), and a KA2 project (strategic collaboration/association), both of them linked to the Erasmus Program.
