Dia dels autors europeus

Como Escuela Embajadora del Parlamento Europeo, la Secció IES Conselleria, en colaboración con la Fundación Diagrama, ha participado en una actividad llevada a cabo por la Comisión Europea para fomentar, desde diferentes perspectivas y lenguas, la lectura en nuestros estudiantes, menores tutelados en riesgo de exclusión social, y ayudar a descubrir la diversidad lingüística y cultural de la literatura europea, incluida la lengua de signos. Esta actividad ha desarrollado una perspectiva internacional y multidisciplinar, además de haber fomentado la visibilización del colectivo sordomudo en la sociedad.

Para ello el centro educativo ha contado con la inestimable participación de los siguientes invitados, que se han unido a esta actividad, bien de forma presencial, bien telemáticamente desde Ecuador y desde Barcelona, con propuestas de lecturas en voz alta de autores europeos:

Shandy Barbosa, atleta de elite que juega en la Selección española de balonmano, conocida como “Las guerreras”, que ha venido al centro para realizar la lectura en portugués de A Costa dos murmúrios, de la autora Lídia Jorge.

Felipe Rodríguez Ricaurte, conectado desde Ecuador, es administrador de la Posada de Tigua, experto en hostelería y turismo vivencial. También es agricultor de productos orgánicos en la Posada. Su elección: El Perfume, del escritor alemán Patrick Süskind.

David Riutort, profesor especialista de lengua de signos en Fesord. Ha leído en lengua de signos un fragmento de Como gustéis, de William Shakespeare.

Carolina Godoy Sánchez, que se ha conectado desde Barcelona, profesional multilingüe, mediadora intercultural y activista medioambiental, actualmente trabaja como consultora de asuntos públicos en Europa y Oriente Medio. Su elección: lectura de El Principito en italiano y en alemán.

Dr. Carlos Velasco Felipe, quien se ha unido a la actividad desde el yacimiento romano de el Roser – el Mujal, en Calella, el Maresme. Es licenciado en Historia y Máster en Arqueología y Doctor en Arqueología Prehistórica por la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, además de ser miembro de The Explorers Club, una de las instituciones científicas más prestigiosas del mundo. Su lectura han sido dos poemas de Jesús Lizano, el último de ellos de forma totalmente interactiva con los alumnos.

Dos profesores de la sección, Raquel y Ruben, se conectaron a la actividad desde Grecia, donde están realizando una observación profesional con un proyecto Erasmus+ relacionado con la inclusión social.

Esta iniciativa ha sido lanzada oficialmente en Sofía por Mariya Gabriel, Comisaria Europea de Innovación, Investigación, Cultura, Educación y Juventud, junto con Georgi Bardarov, famoso autor búlgaro y ganador del Premio de Literatura de la UE en 2021.

El Día de los Autores Europeos quiere mostrar la literatura como una herramienta para el apoderamiento individual de los estudiantes, es decir, como instrumento que les permita desarrollar habilidades útiles a la hora de enfrentarse a los desafíos sociales y personales que afrontan en su vida diaria.

As an Ambassador School of the European Parliament, the Secció IES Conselleria, in collaboration with the Diagrama Foundation, participated in an activity carried out by the European Commission to promote, from different perspectives and languages, reading in our students, minors in care at risk of social exclusion, and help discover the linguistic and cultural diversity of European literature, including sign language. This activity developed an international and multidisciplinary perspective, in addition to having promoted the visibility of the deaf community in society.

For this, the school had the invaluable participation of the following guests, who have joined this activity, either in person, or electronically from Ecuador and from Barcelona, with proposals for reading aloud by European authors:

Shandy Barbosa, an elite athlete who plays for the Spanish handball team, known as “Las guerreras”, who has come to the center to read A Costa dos murmúrios, by the author Lídia Jorge, in Portuguese.

Felipe Rodríguez Ricaurte, online connected from Ecuador, is the administrator of the Posada de Tigua, an expert in hospitality and experiential tourism. He is also a farmer of organic products at the Posada. His choice: The Perfume, by the German writer Patrick Süskind.

David Riutort, specialist teacher of sign language at Fesord. He has read in sign language a fragment of As You Like It, by William Shakespeare.

Carolina Godoy Sánchez, who connected from Barcelona, multilingual professional, intercultural mediator and environmental activist, currently works as a public affairs consultant in Europe and the Middle East. Her choice: reading The Little Prince in Italian and German.

Dr. Carlos Velasco Felipe, who joined the activity from the Roman site of El Roser – El Mujal, in Calella, El Maresme. He has a degree in History and a Master’s in Archeology and a PhD in Prehistoric Archeology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, as well as being a member of The Explorers Club, one of the most prestigious scientific institutions in the world. His reading were two poems by Jesús Lizano, the last of them fully interactive with the students.

Students had previously made activities of research of these people working in interactive groups the previous week. And they had also prepared some questions for the guests about their reading choices, countries, jobs, etc.

Two teachers connected from Greece, where they were doing a jobshadowing within a Erasmus+ project.
