🌍🏃‍♂️Solidarity Race for Peace Day🏃‍♀️🌍

This Wednesday, we experienced a very special day full of sport, solidarity, and unity among schools. CEIP San Luis organised a solidarity race to raise funds for Save the Children, and we were lucky to count on the participation of CEIP Puig Jover from La Estación, CEIP Cardenal Belluga from San Felipe Neri, and IES Macià Abela from Crevillent. 🙌 The day began with a warm welcome from the San Luis students, who shared heartfelt reflections about peace. Then, students from the Physical Education Technician programme at IES Macià Abela led us in a super fun warm-up before the races …

Discovering the Light Table

This week we visited the school library for the very first time, with the windows closed, and it was such a magical experience! With lots of curiosity and excitement, we discovered something new that really caught our attention: the light table! Among bookshelves full of stories and picture books, we explored shapes, colours and translucent materials, experimenting with light in a sensory and creative way. It was a very special first contact with the library. Little by little, we’ll keep discovering it, always through wonder, calmness and the joy of learning. We’ll continue to share our reading and exploring adventures …

❄️ Reactivating the Garden in Winter!🌱

This week we’ve brought our school garden back to life after the holidays, and we’ve done it with lots of energy and excitement! Our first steps were to clean up the space and remove all the weeds that had grown over the winter. 💪🪴 With rakes, shovels, and many hardworking hands, we’ve prepared the soil for the new seasonal plantings. This process not only helps us care for the garden, but also teaches us important values like responsibility, respect for nature, and teamwork. 🌍🧤 We’re really looking forward to everything we’ll be planting in the coming weeks… Soon, our garden …

Playtime with Mondrian: Shapes and Primary Colours

🟥🟦🟨 In January, we’ve been taking inspiration from the artist Piet Mondrian to continue exploring art and all its possibilities. We’ve looked closely at his work, learned to recognize the primary colours (red, blue, and yellow), and played games to identify shapes like squares, circles, and triangles. What amazing little artists we have in our classroom! 🧑‍🎨👩‍🎨 Art in Kindergarten is a wonderful window into the world — and we’re enjoying it so much! 🎨✨

🎄✨ Christmas Party at CEIP San Luis ✨🎄

To say goodbye to 2024 properly, we celebrated our Christmas party filled with excitement, laughter, and unforgettable moments. 🧙 We started the day with a magician’s show that left us speechless with amazing tricks and plenty of humour that had both kids and adults laughing. 🎶 Then, our students took the stage to share the performances they had prepared with our music teacher Noelia: Christmas songs and dances that moved us and made everyone smile. You’re true artists! 🍫 After that, it was time for our Christmas breakfast, with hot chocolate and traditional sweets provided by the school. Some families …

Exploring Colours and Textures with a Sensory Mural

These past weeks in the Infant classroom, we’ve been exploring autumn colours and textures in a very fun and engaging way. We created large collaborative murals using recycled materials such as egg cartons, paper rolls, and cardboard pieces of different shapes and sizes. 🍂🍁 The little ones touched, glued, painted… and above all, explored with all their senses! 🖌️👃👀It was an activity that stimulated their creativity, fine motor skills, and curiosity about the world around them. The result was as original as they are! 🌈💡

School Garden Work Kick Off🌱

🌱 Let’s get our hands dirty! The new school year has taken root… and so has our garden! This week we kicked off our school garden work with excitement, tools in hand, and a big eagerness to learn. Digging, loosening, planting, watering, observing… The first steps are already underway, and you can feel the enthusiasm in every green corner. For our Year 4 classmates, it’s their very first time taking on the responsibilities of our ecological garden: the soil, the seeds, and the cycles of nature. And it shows—every action is a discovery, every task a chance to learn together, …

Halloween 2024

🎃👻 This Halloween at San Luis was SPOOK-TACULAR! 🕸️🦇 Everyone came dressed up and ready to have a blast! Witches, skeletons, creepy characters, and all sorts of monsters invaded the classrooms, hallways, and playground. 🧙‍♀️🧛‍♂️🧟 As always, our families went above and beyond — they brought tons of delicious food, all with spooky decorations: ghost cookies, spiderweb Oreos, bloody finger hot dogs… a true feast for the senses! 🍪🕷️🍰 We had a spine-chilling scavenger hunt, where each challenge brought us closer and closer to collecting the ingredients for the big final surprise: a magical potion that started bubbling and foaming …
