Family Day with Giant Traditional Games
At CEIP San Luis, we celebrated International Family Day in a very special way: with a day of giant traditional games, where children and adults shared laughter, connection, and lots of movement! 🧡 The activity was a great success, full of fun moments and meaningful interactions between families, students, and staff. We enjoyed classic games in large formats, promoting cooperation, memory, skill, and the spirit of shared play. 🎯 We aimed, jumped, strategized, and above all, enjoyed a joyful and educational time together, with families taking an active role in our school life. 💬 Because school is better when we … ➕
🌍 A world map made with our own hands!
To celebrate Earth Day, we decided to explore our planet in a very special way: by creating a 3D world map out of salt dough! 🧂🎨 Each student became an expert on a continent and was given the mission of researching its main geographical features—mountains, rivers, deserts, mountain ranges… Quite a challenge for creating a technical sheet! With the help of relief maps and scale models, we worked together as a team to piece together the puzzle of the world on a large cardboard base. We then covered it with plastic to faithfully recreate the continents in salt dough. Once … ➕
✨Storyteller Alberto Caldrán from Fàbrica de Paraules pays a visit✨
Today at CEIP San Luis, we experienced a truly special day with the visit of Alberto Caldrán, from Fàbrica de Paraules, thanks to the support of our PIIE project. For a while, The English Lab was transformed into a space of magic, imagination, and shared emotions through his captivating storytelling. 🧙♂️📖 💬 We laughed, we dreamed, and we even travelled without moving… just by listening. It was a very different kind of reading promotion activity from what we usually do, like our reading buddy sessions, and it left a very special mark on our hearts and imagination. 🎭 Alberto showed … ➕
Robotics and Scratch Workshops
Thanks to the PIIE project at the school, we have launched several robotics workshops over the past few weeks, coinciding with the celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science! 🔬💡 Both Primary students and children from Kindergarten have participated. In each session, they have experimented, programmed, and explored the world of educational robotics with the help of a specialized company. 🤖🛠️ Additionally, the older students received a programming masterclass, where they created their own video game using Scratch. They have it saved on their USB drives so they can keep improving it whenever they want! 🎮💾 … ➕

Discovering the Light Table
This week we visited the school library for the very first time, with the windows closed, and it was such a magical experience! With lots of curiosity and excitement, we discovered something new that really caught our attention: the light table! Among bookshelves full of stories and picture books, we explored shapes, colours and translucent materials, experimenting with light in a sensory and creative way. It was a very special first contact with the library. Little by little, we’ll keep discovering it, always through wonder, calmness and the joy of learning. We’ll continue to share our reading and exploring adventures … ➕
❄️ Reactivating the Garden in Winter!🌱
This week we’ve brought our school garden back to life after the holidays, and we’ve done it with lots of energy and excitement! Our first steps were to clean up the space and remove all the weeds that had grown over the winter. 💪🪴 With rakes, shovels, and many hardworking hands, we’ve prepared the soil for the new seasonal plantings. This process not only helps us care for the garden, but also teaches us important values like responsibility, respect for nature, and teamwork. 🌍🧤 We’re really looking forward to everything we’ll be planting in the coming weeks… Soon, our garden … ➕
