4TH ESO E LATIN STUDENTS CELEBRATE THE SATURNALIA

On the 22nd of December last year, the 4th ESO E students celebrated the Saturnalia (Saturnalia, in Latin), the festivities that the Romans dedicated to Saturn, which took place in December, coinciding with the winter solstice. They used to exchange gifts and visit relatives and friends. These festivities were very important and lasted for several days, during one of which the slaves could, for one day, dress up and act like their masters. The ancients dressed up in red and carried a pileus, a red barrette and a cassock. The greeting included the ritual crit Io, Saturnalia! Here are some photos of the class wearing our red cap and very sleepy after exchanging gifts and saying Io, io Saturnalia! May the gods be with you all!
