Last August we received the great news that our Erasmus + Project about sustainability » A Better Place to Live and Visit» had been accepted. Last academic year, A group of students and their teacher had already been working on environmental issues with other European students from Romania on e-Twinning platform and we thought that having an exchange would provide our students with the chance of observing other ways of interacting with natural and urban environments, and resources. We believed that they would be able to transfer the good practice of the different towns to Vinaròs and find possible solutions to environmental challenges together. So we prepared an exchange with Gymnasium Celeanum and Colegiul Național ”Vlaicu Vodă”
During all these months, teachers and students of 3rd of ESO (year 9th) have been learning about urban and natural spaces, the use of resources, mobility and other environmental issues in their geography lessons. In their English lessons they have written letters introducing themselves and prepared observation sheets for their visits to the two cities. Our students had to visit Zwole last October and Curtea in April, but, unfortunately, a rise in the pandemics and the war in Ukraine stopped our mobilities. Because of the deadlines in the Erasmus + we will not be exchanging this year with Romania, although we hope we will in the future. Last February we had the opportunity of taking part in the Hackathon organised by Liceo Fanti from Carpi, so we have invited 5 students of this school to participate in our International Week.
Time has passed and our International Week is here. Delegations of Liceo Fanti from Carpi, Italy and of Gymnasium Celeanum from The Netherlands will be here on the 9th of May. Students and teachers have prepared a week full of inspirational activities, workshops and school trips to natural and urban spaces, which we hope will be enjoyed and serve as basis for the final product of the project: The Green Book of Good Practice for More Sustainable and Inclusive European Cities”
El pasado mes de agosto recibimos la fantástica noticia que nuestro proyecto Erasmus+ “Un lugar mejor para vivir y visitar” había sido aceptado. El curso pasado un grupo de estudiantes y su profesora ya habían estado trabajando con estudiantes de Rumanía en un proyecto e-Twinning sobre cuestiones medioambientales, y pensamos que hacer un intercambio con estudiantes de otras ciudades europeas les daría la oportunidad de observar otras maneras de interactuar con los entornos natural y urbano y los recursos. Creímos que así podrían transferir las buenas prácticas de las otras ciudades a la suya y encontrar juntos posibles soluciones en retos medioambientales. Es por eso que diseñamos y pedimos el proyecto y preparamos un intercambio con el Gymnasium Celeanum y el Colegiul Național ”Vlaicu Vodă”.
Durante estos meses profesorado y estudiantes de 3.º de ESO han estado aprendiendo sobre espacios naturales y urbanos, uso de los recursos, movilidad y otros temas medioambientales y han preparado hojas de observación y cuestionarios a sus clase de geografía, en la clase de dibujo han diseñado el logo del proyecto y a la clase de inglés han escrito cartas de presentación por sus visitantes internacionales. Nuestros estudiantes tenían que visitar Zwole el pasado mes de octubre y Curtea el pasado mes de abril, pero, desgraciadamente, un aumento en la incidencia de la pandemia y la guerra a Ucrania pararon estas movilidades. Debido a los plazos de nuestro proyecto Erasmus, esperamos poder realizar el viaje a los Países Bajos, pero no podremos hacerlo en Rumanía, con quien nos gustaría colaborar en futuras ocasiones. El pasado mes de febrero tuvimos la oportunidad de participar en el Hackathon organizado por el Liceo Fanti de Carpi, así que también hemos invitado a 5 alumnos de este instituto en nuestra semana internacional.
El tiempo ha pasado y nuestra Semana Internacional ha llegado. Delegaciones del Gymnasium Celeanum de Países Bajos Y del Liceo Fanti de Italia estarán aquí desde el 9 hasta el 15 de mayo. Estudiantes y profesorado han preparado una semana llena de actividades inspiradoras que serán la base por el producto final del proyecto: “El libro verde de las buenas prácticas por ciudades europeas más sostenibles e inclusivas”
