Last August we received the great news that our Erasmus + Project about sustainability ” A Better Place to Live and Visit” had been accepted. Last academic year, A group of students and their teacher had already been working on environmental issues with other European students from Romania on e-Twinning platform and we thought that having an exchange would provide our students with the chance of observing other ways of interacting with natural and urban environments, and resources. We believed that they would be able to transfer the good practice of the different towns to Vinaròs and find possible solutions to environmental challenges together. So we prepared an exchange with Gymnasium Celeanum and Colegiul Național ”Vlaicu Vodă”
During all these months, teachers and students of 3rd of ESO (year 9th) have been learning about urban and natural spaces, the use of resources, mobility and other environmental issues in their geography lessons. In their English lessons they have written letters introducing themselves and prepared observation sheets for their visits to the two cities. Our students had to visit Zwole last October and Curtea in April, but, unfortunately, a rise in the pandemics and the war in Ukraine stopped our mobilities. Because of the deadlines in the Erasmus + we will not be exchanging this year with Romania, although we hope we will in the future. Last February we had the opportunity of taking part in the Hackathon organised by Liceo Fanti from Carpi, so we have invited 5 students of this school to participate in our International Week.
Time has passed and our International Week is here. Delegations of Liceo Fanti from Carpi, Italy and of Gymnasium Celeanum from The Netherlands will be here on the 9th of May. Students and teachers have prepared a week full of inspirational activities, workshops and school trips to natural and urban spaces, which we hope will be enjoyed and serve as basis for the final product of the project: The Green Book of Good Practice for More Sustainable and Inclusive European Cities”
El passat mes d’agost vam rebre la fantàstica notícia que el nostre projecte Erasmus+ “Un lloc millor per viure i visitar” havia estat acceptat. El curs passat un grup d’estudiants i la seva professora ja havien estat treballant amb estudiants de Romania en un projecte e-Twinning sobre qüestions mediambientals, i vam pensar que fer un intercanvi amb estudiants d’altres ciutats europees els donaria l’oportunitat de observar altres maneres d’interactuar amb els entorns natural i urbà i els recursos. Vam creure que així podrien transferir les bones pràctiques de les altres ciutats a la seva i trobar junts possibles solucions a reptes mediambientals. És per això que vam dissenyar i demanar el projecte i vam preparar un intercanvi amb el Gymnasium Celeanum i el Colegiul Național ”Vlaicu Vodă”.
Durant aquests mesos professorat i estudiants de 3r d’ESO han estat aprenent sobre espais naturals i urbans, ús dels recursos, mobilitat i altres temes mediambientals i han preparat fulls d’observació i qüestionaris a les seves classe de geografia, a la classe de dibuix han dissenyat el logo del projecte i a la classe d’anglès han escrit cartes de presentació pels seus visitants internacionals. Els nostres estudiants havien de visitar Zwole el passat mes d’octubre i Curtea el passat mes d’abril, però, dissortadament, un augment en la incidència de la pandèmia i la guerra a Ukraïna van parar aquestes mobilitats. Degut a els terminis del nostre projecte Erasmus, esperem poder realitzar el viatge als Països Baixos, però no podrem fer-ho a Romania, amb qui ens agradaria col·laborar en futures ocasions. El passat mes de febrer vam tenir la oportunitat de participar en el Hackathon organitzat pel Liceo Fanti de Carpi, així que també hem convidat a 5 alumnes d’aquest institut a la nostra setmana internacional.
El temps ha passat i la nostra Setmana Internacional ha arribat. Delegacions del Gymnasium Celeanum de Països Baixos I del Liceo Fanti d’Itàlia estarán aquí des del 9 fins el 15 de maig. Estudiants i professorat han preparat una semana plena d’activitats inspiradores que seran la base pel producte final del projecte: “El llibre verd de les bones pràctiques per ciutats europees més sostenibles i inclusives”
