Teachers Giovanna Renzi and Sara Curione from ITE-LL “Gadda Rosselli” visited us last May (from the 26th to the 29th) as part of the ERASMUS teacher mobility programme for job shadowing.
We had previously visited their centre in November 2024 to compare inclusive organisations and methodologies. They returned the visit with the same purpose, as well as to learn about other programmes and organisations at our centre.
They wanted to learn about:
- Peer-to-peer tutoring.
- Mediation: peaceful conflict resolution.
- Equality commission.
- Structure and organisation (senior leadership team).
- English: active methodologies.
- Basic vocational training (educational inclusion).
- Curricular diversification programmes (educational inclusion).
- Organisation of educational, vocational, and professional guidance (educational inclusion).
- Emprén Classroom (Vocational Training Cycles).
What surprised them most and what do they want to export to their centre?:
- The organisation and atmosphere of our centre: structure.
- Equality and Coexistence programmes:
- Coexistence management and all its related programmes.
- The democratic memory project.
- The approach to diversity:
- Open Classroom (Aula Oberta)
- PFQB (Basic Professional Qualification Programmes)
- Inclusion
- The methodologies used by our teaching staff in certain subjects.
From this visit, possible future projects have emerged via e-Twinning, further job shadowings, and short-term student stays. To begin with, we have discussed:
- Student exchange for 1st-year Baccalaureate economics students.
- Stays for 2 or 3 of their 2nd-year Baccalaureate students for two or three weeks next academic year in the Humanities and Social Sciences stream.
- Getting in touch with another centre in Gallarate that offers IT Vocational Training to arrange a possible VET job shadowing.
