Imagine our library picking up a magic wand and transforming itself. That is BiblioInnova’t! A project by the Department of Education (Conselleria) that our school has proudly joined.
We don’t want the library to be just a silent room full of books; we want it to be a living space, full of adventures, innovative projects, and, above all, tons and tons of imagination where our students can travel hand in hand with the school’s professionals.
Who is behind the magic? Our Library Committee!
Because great ideas need great engines, we are lucky to have the Library Committee at our school. A team of teachers (with a little bit of an elf-like spirit) in charge of making reading the most fun activity of the week.
What exactly do we do?
- Biweekly recommendations: Every 15 days, the committee suggests short stories and books to the rest of the teachers. This way, the entire faculty discovers wonderful stories and new tools to use with the students in their classrooms.
- Book Week: We organize major events (like the one we recently experienced with our beloved Donyet and the book ‘Rere les passes de la lluna’). We host scavenger hunts, storytelling by the Carob tree, theater plays, and a thousand more adventures.
- Dream spaces: We work incredibly hard to transform the library into a cozy place, tailored to the needs of all our boys and girls.
Reading makes us free, makes us dream, and, above all, makes us happy. ❤️
