The week of 3 to 7 November we received six teachers from the school
ŞEHİT PİYADE KURMAY YARBAY İLKER ÇELİKCAN ORTAOKULU from the city of Bursa in Turkey.
Teachers FİLİZ, IŞIL, SEDA, HANİFE, BURCU and HATİCE came with the aim of learning about our practices related to the inclusion of disadvantaged students in Education.
During the intense week they were with us, they had the opportunity to visit the different practices related to inclusion, such as the Spanish classes for foreigners, the curricular adaptation programs ACIs and PDC, the non-significant adaptations, access adaptations and the day-to-day work of the guidance department.
They also had the opportunity to learn about our Peer Mediation program, with an exhaustive explanation and a mock demonstration by our students in English.
Experienced first-hand our system for managing coexistence, which includes our principles, the weekly meeting of the Table of Coexistence, the Tutorial Action Plan, the weekly meetings of tutors with the Guidance Department; our Equality and Coexistence Plan; where we highlight above all our plan for gender equality, which includes the Purple Point, the visibility that we make of women in society, as the name of our streets, and special days such as the day against gender violence or March 8.
The multicultural integration and the integration of our center in the environment, was a fundamental point to highlight. They saw our involvement in the neighborhood, in the science museum MUDIC-Jesús Carnicer, and collaboration with the State Public Library, related to our Reading Plan, among other aspects.
There were some group sessions to reflect on the methods used and the challenges still to be met, so we could learn a lot from their way of working.

This visit helped us to be aware of the enormous work we do every day, the great effort and involvement of our teachers, and the luck of having motivated students and families who value education and the school.
