Playtime with Mondrian: Shapes and Primary Colours

🟥🟦🟨 In January, we’ve been taking inspiration from the artist Piet Mondrian to continue exploring art and all its possibilities. We’ve looked closely at his work, learned to recognize the primary colours (red, blue, and yellow), and played games to identify shapes like squares, circles, and triangles. What amazing little artists we have in our classroom! 🧑‍🎨👩‍🎨 Art in Kindergarten is a wonderful window into the world — and we’re enjoying it so much! 🎨✨

Exploring Colours and Textures with a Sensory Mural

These past weeks in the Infant classroom, we’ve been exploring autumn colours and textures in a very fun and engaging way. We created large collaborative murals using recycled materials such as egg cartons, paper rolls, and cardboard pieces of different shapes and sizes. 🍂🍁 The little ones touched, glued, painted… and above all, explored with all their senses! 🖌️👃👀It was an activity that stimulated their creativity, fine motor skills, and curiosity about the world around them. The result was as original as they are! 🌈💡
