Last Reading Buddies Session of the Season
🍦📚 To say goodbye to the school year properly, we celebrated our final reading buddies session with a sweet and refreshing activity… in the shape of an ice cream! 😋☀️ Each reading buddy pair chose a summer-themed book: beach stories, pirates, sunny adventures, summer mysteries or unforgettable trips. Afterwards, they represented the book they had read as a creative ice cream scoop, decorated with drawings, key words and personal opinions. Each scoop stood for a different book, and together they built a beautiful summer literary collection! 🍨✍️🌴 It was a lovely way to celebrate reading, the bond between older and … ➕
Road Safety Education 2025
Today we had a very special visit at school: the Local Police of Crevillent came to carry out a fun and educational road safety activity! 👮♂️✨ Through games, circuits, and explanations adapted to each group, we learned basic rules to become responsible pedestrians and better understand traffic signs. We had the chance to put ourselves in the shoes of both drivers and pedestrians, and reflect on the importance of safety in the streets. 🚦🚙 Besides learning a lot, we had a great time. A big thank you to the Local Police for their kindness and for teaching us how to … ➕
Robotics and Scratch Workshops
Thanks to the PIIE project at the school, we have launched several robotics workshops over the past few weeks, coinciding with the celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science! 🔬💡 Both Primary students and children from Kindergarten have participated. In each session, they have experimented, programmed, and explored the world of educational robotics with the help of a specialized company. 🤖🛠️ Additionally, the older students received a programming masterclass, where they created their own video game using Scratch. They have it saved on their USB drives so they can keep improving it whenever they want! 🎮💾 … ➕
Discovering the Light Table
This week we visited the school library for the very first time, with the windows closed, and it was such a magical experience! With lots of curiosity and excitement, we discovered something new that really caught our attention: the light table! Among bookshelves full of stories and picture books, we explored shapes, colours and translucent materials, experimenting with light in a sensory and creative way. It was a very special first contact with the library. Little by little, we’ll keep discovering it, always through wonder, calmness and the joy of learning. We’ll continue to share our reading and exploring adventures … ➕
Playtime with Mondrian: Shapes and Primary Colours
🟥🟦🟨 In January, we’ve been taking inspiration from the artist Piet Mondrian to continue exploring art and all its possibilities. We’ve looked closely at his work, learned to recognize the primary colours (red, blue, and yellow), and played games to identify shapes like squares, circles, and triangles. What amazing little artists we have in our classroom! 🧑🎨👩🎨 Art in Kindergarten is a wonderful window into the world — and we’re enjoying it so much! 🎨✨
🎄✨ Christmas Party at CEIP San Luis ✨🎄
To say goodbye to 2024 properly, we celebrated our Christmas party filled with excitement, laughter, and unforgettable moments. 🧙 We started the day with a magician’s show that left us speechless with amazing tricks and plenty of humour that had both kids and adults laughing. 🎶 Then, our students took the stage to share the performances they had prepared with our music teacher Noelia: Christmas songs and dances that moved us and made everyone smile. You’re true artists! 🍫 After that, it was time for our Christmas breakfast, with hot chocolate and traditional sweets provided by the school. Some families … ➕
Exploring Colours and Textures with a Sensory Mural
These past weeks in the Infant classroom, we’ve been exploring autumn colours and textures in a very fun and engaging way. We created large collaborative murals using recycled materials such as egg cartons, paper rolls, and cardboard pieces of different shapes and sizes. 🍂🍁 The little ones touched, glued, painted… and above all, explored with all their senses! 🖌️👃👀It was an activity that stimulated their creativity, fine motor skills, and curiosity about the world around them. The result was as original as they are! 🌈💡
Halloween 2024
🎃👻 This Halloween at San Luis was SPOOK-TACULAR! 🕸️🦇 Everyone came dressed up and ready to have a blast! Witches, skeletons, creepy characters, and all sorts of monsters invaded the classrooms, hallways, and playground. 🧙♀️🧛♂️🧟 As always, our families went above and beyond — they brought tons of delicious food, all with spooky decorations: ghost cookies, spiderweb Oreos, bloody finger hot dogs… a true feast for the senses! 🍪🕷️🍰 We had a spine-chilling scavenger hunt, where each challenge brought us closer and closer to collecting the ingredients for the big final surprise: a magical potion that started bubbling and foaming … ➕
