January’s Artist: Piet Mondrian

🟥This month we travelled back to the Netherlands to discover Piet Mondrian, a Dutch artist who taught us that art can also be born from the simplest elements: lines, geometric shapes, and primary colours.

🟨At first glance, his paintings seem very simple: black lines that intersect, and squares of red, blue, or yellow. But if we look more closely, we discover that behind that simplicity lies a perfect balance—a harmony that brings calm and order.

🟦Mondrian wanted to represent the essence of things, what lies beyond what we see. He didn’t paint trees or people, but rather the idea of balance, rhythm, and beauty in what is basic.

🟥We had so much fun creating our own Mondrian-style compositions, exploring how colours and shapes relate to one another—and discovering that sometimes, less is more. We even used tape to mark out spaces, just like Mondrian did!

🟨We’re sharing some ASMR videos with you too. Enjoy! 🎨✨
