This month we discovered the enchanting world of Brooklyn Swenson, a contemporary artist who creates scenes full of fantasy, soft colours, and sweet characters that seem to come straight out of a storybook—thanks in part to her Scandinavian heritage. 🌲🌲🎄
As we looked at her illustrations, we couldn’t help but think of the universe of The Nutcracker, the famous ballet by Tchaikovsky. Just like in the tale of Clara and her enchanted nutcracker, Brooklyn’s work transports us to magical worlds where imagination, dance, and emotion reign. 🩰
Her delicate figures, snowy settings, and Christmas-inspired scenes helped us imagine the different palaces of the Kingdom of Sweets and its main character. Through colour, light, and expression, we’ve seen how art can make us feel music, fantasy, and story—without a single word. 🍭🍬🍰🧁🥞🍦
