🎨 We begin our Artists of the Month project with the popular Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh, as many of our classmates were born in Flanders.
Our students have explored the life and work of this artist, full of sensitivity and creative tragedy. Through small biographical brushstrokes, we have learned that:
- 🎂 He was born in the Netherlands in 1853.
- 🌻 He painted a famous series of sunflowers.
- 🌌 While at the hospital in Saint-Rémy, he painted The Starry Night.
- 🎨 He changed his color palette after moving to Paris, choosing brighter and more vivid tones.
- 💛 He used the color yellow to express deep emotions.
- 💰 He sold very few works during his lifetime, and only gained fame and recognition after his death.
- 🌾 His favorite places to paint were the fields and gardens.
Our little artists had the chance to discover Van Gogh’s world thanks to the immersive exhibition “Van Gogh: Greatest Hits”, which took place from June 6th to September 15th at IFA Alicante. 👉 Don’t miss it!
