Last September, two inspectors from the Comunitat Valenciana had the opportunity to take part in a rewarding job shadowing experience in Geel, Belgium, where they gained firsthand insight into the Flemish education system. During their stay, they visited technical and vocational secondary schools, such as Sint Josef Geel, and held meetings with directors and coordinators from the KOGEKA educational group. Through these visits, they were able to learn about the educational pathways that prepare students for higher education or integration into the job market.

Additionally, the Valencian inspectors visited CVO HIK, an adult education center, where they were introduced to the certification system for people who have not completed their secondary education, as well as specific support programs for teaching Dutch.

The experience concluded with a visit to the Educational Inspectorate of Brussels, where they analyzed the procedures and standards used to ensure educational quality. This stay in Belgium provided a broader, comparative view of European educational systems, student integration, and competency certification, helping to identify best practices in educational management.
