INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP: YOUR SOFT SKILLS TOOLKIT (October 20 – 26, 2025)
Two inspectors from the Valencian Community participated in the professional course ‘Innovative Educational Leadership: Your Soft Skills Toolkit,’ organized by Europass Teacher Academy in Athens, Greece, within the framework of the Erasmus project 2024-1-ESO1-KA121-ADU-000225655. This training allowed the participants to strengthen their competencies in educational leadership and acquire new strategies that they can apply in their inspection work.
Course Objectives
The course had the following main objectives:
- Develop essential competencies for educational leadership, including communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and change management.
- Reflect on personal leadership styles and identify areas for professional improvement.
- Understand the role of innovation in education and how to implement it in real school contexts.
- Design innovative educational projects applying the skills acquired.
- Build international professional relationships and share best practices with other educational leaders.
Program and Activities
The course combined theoretical sessions, practical workshops, and reflection and networking activities:
- Introductory sessions: Course presentation and group dynamics on educational leadership.
- Communication workshops: Improving effective communication, active listening, and constructive feedback.
- Problem-solving and collaboration: Group activities to identify challenges and propose creative solutions.
- Change management: Strategies to lead innovation and adaptation processes in educational settings.
- Personal reflection: Analysis of one’s own leadership style and development of an individual improvement plan.
- Practical application: Designing innovative educational projects based on the skills developed.
- Cultural activities: Learning about the local context of Athens and strengthening professional exchange.

Impact on Educational Inspection
Participation in this international training contributes to strengthening pedagogical leadership, promoting collaborative, innovative, and people-centered approaches within the educational inspection. Furthermore, the exchange of experiences and best practices with other European professionals facilitates the continuous improvement of educational quality in the Valencian Community.
