Teachers from E.T.A. Hoffmann-Gymnasium in Bamberg undertake a job shadowing in the Valencian Community
Two teachers from E.T.A. Hoffmann-Gymnasium in Bamberg (Germany) visited the Valencian Community from November 24 to 28 to carry out a job shadowing program aimed at learning about the Valencian educational system and observing the new foreign language teaching methodologies. Throughout the week, they were accompanied by Educational inspectors, who facilitated their participation in the planned activities and their contact with the different educational centers.
The mobility took place in Valencia and Alicante, with a varied program that included visits to educational centers, classroom observations, a visit to the CEEDCV and CEFIRE, as well as working sessions aimed at understanding the organization of our educational system and the supervision and inspection processes.
One of the aspects that impressed them the most was the visit to the Official Language Schools in Xàtiva and Alicante, where they were able to see firsthand how these unique institutions in Europe operate, dedicated exclusively to public language education for adults. They highlighted the privilege of having such centers and highly appreciated the quality of the educational offerings, the linguistic diversity, and the active learning methodologies.
This visit has enabled a valuable exchange of experiences between teachers and inspectors from both countries, as well as a closer understanding of educational contexts that share common goals. The relationship established with the Bamberg Gymnasium opens up new possibilities for future collaboration, particularly aimed at strengthening international cooperation, improving the quality of the educational process, and promoting initiatives that allow for exchanges between students from both regions.
