GERMANY – NIENBURG
22nd – 28th September 2024
A group composed of four members of the Educational Inspection carried out a week-long visit to the DEULA facilities in Nienburg, Germany, as part of the Erasmus Inspection project. DEULA is an institution recognized for its commitment to vocational training, offering a wide range of programs designed to develop the necessary skills in the current labor market. During this Job Shadowing visit, the group had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the vocational education and training (VET) system in Germany and observe firsthand the methodologies employed in teaching.
Throughout their stay, the inspectors were able to learn about the fundamental role that DEULA plays in the training of students, as well as its approach to preparing them for the challenges of the labor market. Additionally, they visited various primary and secondary educational institutions, which allowed them to see how vocational training is integrated into the school curriculum. A highlight of the visit was the meeting with the head of the Chamber of Commerce for Agriculture, where the responsibilities of this entity concerning VET education were discussed. This meeting underscored the importance of collaboration between the educational and business sectors to ensure training that adequately responds to market needs.
