GERMANY – Düsseldorf 15th-19th May 2023
During their stay in Düsseldorf, the inspectors had the opportunity to explore various aspects of the German education and training system by conducting several institutional visits and meetings with members of the Education Inspection. This experience provided a detailed understanding of the German education system, educational inclusion, job security, and continuing education for adults.
Activities:
- Meeting with the Technical University of Dortmund
- Visit to DASA (Interactive Museum on Occupational Safety and Health)
- Visit to the Government Headquarters of North Rhine-Westphalia, Düsseldorf District, Project Area
- Visit to the Vera Beckers Vocational College in Krefeld
- Visit to the Düsseldorf Chamber of Commerce (Ms. Rebeca Hof)
GERMANY – Berlin 6th -10th June 2023
During the course, a deep understanding of the solid German dual education system was acquired, highlighting the highly skilled workforce as a fundamental pillar of the country’s industry. It is based on a balance between practical training in the workplace and theoretical education in the training center (70% practical classes + 30% theoretical classes). National standardization ensures that qualifications obtained are recognized throughout the country, facilitating labor mobility.
Visits were made to vocational training institutions in Berlin and to associated companies, allowing for comparisons between the German system and other vocational training systems.
